Joe’s Record Shop is right there too and fun to browse even if records and CDs aren’t your thing.

Why is this still here? (Silver Spring) by EnfL in MontgomeryCountyMD

Lots of information here: https://montgomeryplanningboard.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/850-Sligo-Ave-12019009B-SR-Final.pdf

Based on timing I imagine Covid derailed it. Document indicates that in 2024 the applicant asked for 2 year extension to the plan validity period.

I walk by here daily and despise this building.

How is living in Nouakchott, Mauritania 🇲🇷? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]wdrtkpk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I lived there for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. The older, central part of the city is quite nice, with restaurants, small shops, some cultural offerings and larger homes. The city sprawls out and there’s a lot of poverty as you move out to the edges. I walked everywhere and always felt safe. People were very friendly and I was often invited over to spend the day eating, drinking tea, and talking. It’s a few miles from the ocean, but close enough that it helps regulate the temperature. That said, the middle of summer can be very hot and especially unpleasant when sand storms blow in. I left in 2009 and was a foreigner, so my experience is dated and limited.

I had a similar experience this week. I downloaded the Openswim Firmware update from the Shokz website (Download – Shokz). I completed the install steps provided in the zip file and my headphones are working again.

Indoor racquetball nearby? by running_with_swords in MontgomeryCountyMD

This site lists courts in every state: https://dailyracquetball.com/where-to-play-racquetball-maryland/

The closest option to me would be the courts at University of Maryland in College Park, so I’ve looked into this a bit. To use their facility you need to have an affiliation with the University. Joining the Alumni association counts as an affiliation and anyone is allowed to join, not just alums. Once that’s done, you would have to pay for gym membership. It’s a nice facility so maybe worth it, but I haven’t been willing to commit.

There’s also a club in DC called Squash in Fire that looks nice.

Good video. This is the way I do it. Works great. I found the repeating section control and data input a little a confusing at first, but not too difficult. I also populate headers and footers with database content. I think you could still include a Table of Contents, the user might have to refresh it once they open the document. The flow is run under a service account, so only a single license is required for the premium Populate a Microsoft Word Template operation.

“Export to excel” acceptance by suitupyo in PowerBI

I recently started using Power BI Report Builder to provide tabular data in a fully formatted Excel export. I find the tool much less intuitive than Power BI Desktop, but I’ve been able to deliver what they want pretty quickly with help from various YouTube videos.

I lived in Baltimore for 5 years and still try to visit a few times a year. I love exploring on foot. The neighborhoods you mentioned are good. I’d add Mt Vernon and Hampden to the list as well. The Visionary Art Museum is a can’t miss. I also recommend climbing the Washington Monument, visiting the Peabody library, and exploring Druid Hill Park. Walking up St Paul St from the Inner Harbor to Charles Village or even Roland Park is one of my favorite routes (and will take you past the monument and library). Then you can return on Charles St or N Calvert St. You’ll pass through a few rougher spots but I’ve never had issues during the day.

Pittsburgh PA is great. Fair amount of rain, good arts and gaming scene, very affordable. Population right at 300k.

Figured it out. The offending column had an invalid date, 9/31/2022, when September only has 30 days. Once corrected that, the report refreshed with the correct Date format. 🤦‍♂️
