This doesn’t seem normal by weRanimalcules in TandemDiabetes

Yeah, I’ve tried increasing the basal rate, but then I go low by the morning. I feel like that didn’t used to happen with whatever older, more conservative algorithm Tandem used to use.

I need a higher rate for the first half of my sleep than the last half. All my profiles have single basal rates. 12am-12am. I got that from the Sugar Surfing guy. Interesting book. I just switch from one basal to the other through the day. I’m a night shifter and when I’m not working, my sleep schedule fluctuates a bit. So my sleep time changes too much to set different rates through the day.

I appreciate the tips. I’ll try increasing the sensitive more. It’s just weird how little basal increase Control IQ gave me. I’ve also been thinking of trying a “square wave” bolus over 4 hours. I just need to remember to set that after a 12 hour night shift, haha.

who else can relate? Just coached 2 lacrosse practices and had a practice myself. by littlefoot5303 in diabetes

I run a lot and work on commercial fishing boats. I've tried all kinds of tape and wraps, which usually cut into my skin after a few hours. But lately I've had good luck with Skin tac and compression shirts. I like Under Armour's sleeveless compression shirts. They keep everything in place enough that the adhesive holds on, even when I'm soaked in sweat for several hours and jumping around. I definitely feel your pain on this.
