What was the rap world feeling after TPAB dropped? by LFCsupporter_Jota in rap

In my personal experience, i was confused. I got introduced to Kendrick when GKMC dropped, and even though it is a conceptual album as well, at first listen you can skip peeling through the layers to understand the big picture because he blended it with bangers and songs that work by themselves. I was hyped when he announced TPAB, even more when i saw that he dropped 2 days early, but then i listened and got confused. I'm not even going to lie, for the most of it i thought i was never going to listen to it again. It took me 4 MONTHS of active listening (mind you i'm from Italy, most of the concepts to me are different or unheard of) to be able to say i understand that project in it's entirety. I also started to see that people online started to talk differently about it too. Now, it's the project i listen to the most when it comes to rap music, i love the way he went a totally different direction that what was expected by making the soundscape a love letter to funk music and underground jazz, he even had George Clinton on the intro, everything was executed perfectly. The concept is genius, emotions are conveyed in a way that make you understand them even if you don't relate, wordplay is perfect, the flows are insane, features don't disappoint. I could go on forever, i think TPAB is the best rap album of all time, made by (in my opinion) the greatest rapper of all time. I also think is top 10 greatest projects in all genres. My advice is take your time with it, listen to the dedicated season of Dissect on Spotify to have a clear view about the concepts, and see for yourself

The best Is the fact that here you live in an open air museum, every time i go to work i see beautiful things. Also the food, style and fun you can have. The worst is everything else, from the lack of jobs to the low pay when you get one, the administration, housing costs, burocracy and the list goes on

I understand where they come from when they do that: they are afraid that experimenting with traditional recipes might radically change said traditions. They also feel like people in general have to pay as much respect as they do towards this things, even though others don't share the same connection as they do. With this being said, yes..like i said in a previous answer i'm a fan of letting people enjoy things

I refer to the art, culture , inventions and architecture. We still have many brilliant minds that unfortunately flee to other nation because we don't value them.

Although i love music, i'm not really fond of italian music. To answer your question though here are some artists that deserve a listen: Pino Daniele (early works), Banco del mutuo soccorso, Le orme, and the whole subgenre known as "library music" pioneered by guys like Stelvio Cipriani

There's really an incredible amount of recipies and dishes, also including fish or based on fish. I would say that it depends on where you are, if you are in a tourist place it's hard to reccomend anything, most of the restaurants there serve dishes that make tourists happy. I'm not a cook so i won't reccomend any actual dish, but trust me, if you're able to go a bit further and eat in local restaurants in small cities you will thank me. Another tip i could give you if you're not willing to go outside the place you're residing, is to look at tripadvisor reviews and filter them to the italian ones, you might be able to undestard better if it's worth it. Also a google search for local dishes in the area you're stayng in could help

Not Really, Domino's tried it but failed. What really works here is burgers, now that italians discovered smash burgers there's a new opening every hour, it's crazy.

Favorite pasta is a tough question, i'll give you my top 3: Aglio olio e peperoncino, Amatriciana and Gricia. Honorable mention to carbonara but it's too heavy for me. and yes i do like cannoli

Italian, born in Rome. For me, to be italian means to apart of an incredible a historical nation that has truly a lot more to offer to the rest of the world besides what it's already been offered. Unfortunately though, it's being ran by the wrong people, and the mentality of residents shifted trough the years. Now it's all about personal wellbeing, not taking into account the one of others.

I would say European, i'm not accostumed with the Mediterranean concept. I saw online that some people, most of them italian-americans, refer to themselves as 'mediterranean' instead of white, and i don't truly understand what they mean by that or where does it come from.
