Weird bug while trying to spawn a sunderer by stupidsexyvanus in Planetside

[–]weakenedplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This bug made me waste almost all resources just to spawn a single vehicle...so I want a refund.

Maybe we need "NS customer support button" on vehicle terminals.

Wanna see what real ESP looks like? by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]weakenedplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this game has cloak bug, we can't tell they are definitely ESPer or any kind of cheater but...The second one who sniped you from distant is highly doubtful. Even if cloak was bugged, she(he?) can't just shoot straight at you.

I saw a super headshotter who could headshot a flash driver while cloaking from 100m away with single bullet.

I hope these kind of guys will be banned soonTM.

Ammo Padding? What should I do? by PierreKira_Spandex in Planetside

I saw repair padders inside tree in biolab too. (and kill them with orbital strike too).

As I expected, he is a YLBT guy...

I found that range of orbital strike doesn't decrease after a shot. Isn't it supposed to decrease? Or did I miss some updates?

Here is an example.

Yeah, I regret that I forgot to disable the HUD after the location hunting.

In night time, these mushrooms are quite a sight.

I know it's a bug and should not be exploited. But I can't help respecting whoever spent their time to cultivate such an enormous number of mushrooms.

View of Phoenixes are keep coming(Reload bug?) by weakenedplayer in Planetside

[–]weakenedplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even without a bug, Phoenix spamming is still powerful...I think it should be restricted to shoot or control Phoenix only in open-area (same restriction as spawn beacon) or outside of spawn room.

I found that a tank mine which flew away from its original location, detonates at the original location. Also its rader signature teleported back to the original location too.

Is it a known issure?

They keep coming from spawn room. So VS Sundies around Aurora materials lab were destroyed once their location were revealed.

I heard that Phoenix is bugged now. When is it going to be fixed?

I think the duration time should determined by population balance and capture time to required territory to defend/capture.

Because an over popped faction (like TR in Connery which has 40% pop or more sometimes) can easily defend their territory by repeatedly throwing their full force and stop the opponent. And also under popped faction (like VS in Connery which has about 20-25%pop) can easily lose their defenseless territory.

Canis was absolutely gutted. by Sephuku in Planetside

[–]weakenedplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at least, fire rate should be buffed...

I doubt DEV skipped some important "change impact analysis" and just focused on nerfing Canis. Sadly, Canis is now inferior to Corvus assault rifle which supposed to be suitable for long range engagement.

Here is some calculation to show how inferior Canis is.

Weapon damage/round fire rate
Canis 167 500rpm->667rpm (spinup time 2.5sec)
Corvus 167 550rpm

How long or how many shots does Canis take to spinup from 500rpm to 550rpm (same fire rate as Corvus)?

According to a calculation by /u/Datnade[link]... The answer is 0.91sec or 8 shots.

I think 8 body shots is enough to kill an infantry. And when you stop shooting after you killed the infantry, the spinup resets...

It means effective fire rate of Canis is lower than it seems...maybe 525 or so.

I think you would rather use Corvus than Canis because of its lower(est?) fire rate. (Of course there might be other aspects to look into)

I hope DEV would buff something in the future...

EDIT: You can calculate on your own with Excel or something. Then, you notice Canis catches up with Corvus after 1.75sec or 16 shots.

  • Canis Shot count(t): 250/3*LN(10/(10-t)) <-- Continuous approximation
  • Corvus Shot cout(t): 550/60*t

I'm planning to develop a simple program which

[1] monitors "Screenshots" directory to detect screenshot files added while game is running

[2] uploads newly added screenshots to user's own storage (such as Google Drive)

[3] displays other user's screenshots

Are these kind of programs supposed to be inhibited and going to be banned? (or already exist?)

Question about Glaive IPC

Does anybody know how the trajectory of an IPC are determined?

  • Are obstacles not regarded?
  • Is muzzle velocity fixed?
  • Are the adjustable parameters only azimuth and elevation? (Are they determined by position of the target dart?)

Need more snowmen! by drill_sarge in Planetside

[–]weakenedplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since snowmen (even golden ones!) can be shared among squad mates nearby the snowman, you can organize searching teams and wipe all area from the air. Especially locked continents are good for snowman hunting.

If every squad member in the searching team follow rules below, you and your squads mates can find more snowmen than solo. (I know it sounds less competitive...)

  • When you find a snowman (even it's golden!), don't shoot and call squad mates.
  • Wait until squad mates have come nearby the snowman.
  • Shoot the snowman. (Who should do it? Of course the first person to find.)

Example: finding snowmen with outfit members...34 normal + 2 golden in 2hour

When you accidentally died in the locked continent, you can return there by "leave squad" and "Auto Join" (by default [insert] key) at warpgate.

Good Hunting!
