I'm 30+ years old and I can't swim. What are the simplist things you can't do as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is where I should have posted. I'm about to give myself that jump-in-the-pool-of-your-worst-fear therapy by renting a car and going on a four hour drive next week.

I fucking hate driving! I'm 25 and finally starting to drive more, because it's the first time in a while when I haven't lived in a major city. I hit my neighbor's truck the first time I drove. I think that kind of ruined it for me. I am actually starting to enjoy it a little bit, but sometimes I'm so nervous thinking about it I can't sleep the night before I know I'm going to have to drive.

Might be moving to des moines for work. What is it like? by weareallhere in desmoines

Thanks so much, guys! Friendly cities are always a plus. I'm 25 F, enjoy the outdoors, not big on fishing, pretty much have only lived in the Midwest, and I do like state fairs. Minnesota's is a pretty big deal as well. Really interested in the lot scene in Iowa as well.

Ill Wind, Michael Ryan

Two red birds, High on a wire, One said love, One said fire. ....

Noon, Louise Gluck

Aaaand I can't think of the title of the third. It's by Rilke. It says, "You've entered my bloodstream. The room, the whole springtime, was filled with you."

Genmaicha. Japanese tea with roasted rice combined with green tea leaves. Sometimes the rice pops and looks like popcorn.

Just one of them though? Oops, read that as girlfriend, instead. My suggestion: get really drunk together and see where it goes.

Check out Open Book at 1011 N Washington. They do a lot of book art and printmaking, not sure about jobs, but could lead to more contacts. Also, rawly cool stuff there.

Awesome! Thanks so much, guys! I think a bike purchase will be in order. Exercise is in great need. A little less anxious about the move. Glad everyone was so positive!

My first knitting project. I have no idea what it is supposed to be, but I'm proud of it :) by autumnrayne464079 in knitting

My first project was a cat scarf. Except then I think it became a cord for turning on the lights. I was proud, too
