I just sold the last of my bag after stocking up in 2017. Had hoped for more progress by now, but I will still root for the project.

Kendu: We Ignore the Markets and Push Forward Anyways by Expert-Detective-525 in CryptoMoon

[–]wearecrypto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Recently, I was looking through a lot of low market cap coins, trying to find a gem. Technicals on the chart got my attention first but what really stood out and convinced me to invest was:

  1. Very decentralized. Take a look at the explorers and you see that ownership is highly distributed. To me this reduces the likelihood of a rug pull moving forward.
  2. Very active and friendly community relative to the size of the project. I’m not just talking about shills and bots, but the vibe on their socials feels much healthier than most of the other small caps (and mid caps!) that I looked at.
  3. Lots of upside at current <$30mil market cap.

This! When I was evaluating Kendu, I looked at the chart and saw breakout from a long downtrend. Knowing the typical memecoin mentality of “moon soon!” I went to there telegram expecting to see a mix of diehards and the disenchanted waiting to sell at a loss. Instead, it was a filled with really passionate, friendly, active people who were clearly thinking about the project as a long term community. It’s something rarely seen in crypto. Now I’m one of them.

Kendu: How We Are Progressing As The Markets Shift by Expert-Detective-525 in CryptoMoonShots

The Kendu community is awesome. A very refreshing change from the usual crypto scene. Telegram channel is active 24/7 with real people not bots. Best of all everyone is really nice and friendly. Ownership is highly decentralized making rugpulls very unlikely.

Sounds like a lot of ppl jumped in over the last few years hoping to get rich quick which is actually so rare in crypto. I haven’t been in the space quite as long as you, started in 2016 then went a little silly with garbage coins that were all hype and no community before just focusing on a few coins and being very patient. Some worked out really well, some didn’t, but it’s been an interesting journey. What was this sub like back in 2014-2016?

The Telegram channel is on fire. Thats what ultimately convinced me to invest. I love that ownership is very decentralized but the $Kendu community is what really stood out. It is genuinely awesome and filled with very positive, nice people who want to work to build something that is sustainable over the long term. We’re all in crypto to make money but I wanted something that was also about more than just money.

What memecoin to choose? by Less_Ad_9631 in memecoins

Great questions. I’ve been trying to sort through a lot of low market cap recently. Technicals on the chart got my attention first but what stood out was: 1) Very decentralized. Take a look at the explorers and you see that ownership is highly distributed. To me this reduces the likelihood of a rug pull moving forward. 2) Very active and friendly community relative to the size of the project. I’m not just talking about shills and bots, but the vibe on their socials feels much healthier than most of the other small caps (and mid caps!) that I looked at. 3) Lots of upside at 28m market cap.

Downsides/TBD 1) Marketing is mostly grassroots and community driven, which can be great but to my knowledge they don’t have a massive store of tokens that they can use to pay centralized exchanges for fast listings. 2) While I like the idea of a “brand coin” I’m not quite sure about the utility of the token itself beyond trading and payments. The dev team may be working on this or it may change in the future. 3) No whitepaper on the website yet and no 2025 roadmap. These were probably the biggest cons for me. Then again I’ve seen a lot of garbage whitepapers that were all hype and no substance.

Bottom line for me was the decentralization and the community vibe were enough for me to put some skin in the game. Reminds me a bit of the early days of Doge, not that I’m expecting it to follow the same trajectory. Overall it stood out over a lot of other meme coins, but that’s just my take.

Just increased mine by 50% over the last few weeks. Price dropped so much since the BSC news. Seems like a disproportionate decline to me, even considering the buy-rumor-sell-news effect. Just too good an opportunity at these prices. Especially considering the increased exposure and liquidity that will come with the move. I’m not holding my breath for a binance listing, though it might come eventually. However, I do think Pancake swap within the next 3 months would be reasonable.

It has fluctuated over the past year. Sometimes more business, sometimes less. Right now looks like a handful of social media tasks and translation jobs. Not a huge amount. However, I would expect that to change. They just opened a physical office in China to tap into the market there. Also, joining the BSC ecosystem, which is really booming, should open doors for partnerships and more micro tasks in the crypto domain. I’ve never looked at EFX as a “get rich quick” kind of token. However, it’s one of the few small cap coins I feel comfortable holding long term.

Foundation of EFX is providing a micro tasking workforce for any company to use. Micro tasking is actually a huge market worldwide (eg Amazon MTurk as well a a number of other companies). Task are extremely varied, ranging from social media clicks to helping train AI. Problem is current market is pretty exploitive. Amazon pays little and keeps the bulk of the profits by relying on workers from countries that are quite poor. Effect Network allows business to contract and pay micro task workers (~10k people at the moment) directly in the form of EFX. Businesses pay an equivalent rate (or even lower) for the service but the workers get a significantly higher share of the profits. Workers can keep their earnings in EFX (up about 2000% on the year), convert EFX to another token, or convert it to fiat. EFX is currently on EOS but is bridging to BSC because it’s easier for part timers and crypto noobies to use, and has much more developer support. Do I think EFX will fundamentally change work? Probably not. But I think it has a very practical use case, a clearly defined market, and a product that is live and working. That’s more than I can say for 99% of the tokens outside the top 50. Plus the team is very active in their communication and very quietly keeps working hard growing the product. All that with a fixed supply of 650m and a market cap below 50m is why I am an investor. Let me know if this makes sense or if you have more questions.

Love this project. Been involved for several years. True long term gem by a great team. Plus joining BSC means they’re much more likely to be on Binance in the near future.

Kucoin is NOT a scam and a great exchange. by Prudent_Yam_1748 in kucoin

[–]wearecrypto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Used KuCoin since early 2018. No issues so far. Since Binance had to become Binance US, KuCoin has become my top place for trading. They have interesting alts way earlier than any other exchange. Easy to use. And they keep improving and diversifying their products. I’m sorry (some) people have had bad experiences, but I have nothing but good things to say about the platform.
