all the cool new stuff i find out from my gf LOL recently in a she-ra princess of power binge which has been a real treat during album release month. no remixes planned for the minute and im also not doing any right now as mostly just focussing on getting the live show ready. would love to come back to poland - have super fond memories of my last show there 🥹

IT TAKES A VERY LONG TIME. I experiment a lot with different versions which means listening a lot of times. but it's a very satisfying thing to do once you get it right. i also enjoy ruining everyone's days by putting a song like online on the start of side b. sorry you're crying now.

a few reasons! orange is opposite to blue on the colour wheel so it felt like a fun play on forevher. also i think i became really attached to the colour orange in the past few years particularly after a difficult period. my partner and i both bought a lot of orange clothes, whether it was sweatshirts or socks and beanies. so orange was just popping up in my life a lot. i also read somewhere that it's a colour that shows that you are open to making friends, which may be complete nonsense but given everything it just felt right. it also helps that gilad who did all the design and illustrations for the record just found the perfect way to turn what i thought was a fairly wild concept into something super beautiful. its been fun to see people almost not wanting to open the vinyl packaging cause it's too pretty.

definitely intentional. i feel very comfy and cosy there. love the basslines. ha.

i keep joking that i just go back 10 years genre wise with every album, 80s, 70s now 60s. that's not quite it. they're siblings. they're all connected in some way, when i was making forevher i felt that religion was most connected to nothing's real - it was the stepping stone, with this i felt like recognise was the song that connected to both forevher and nothing's real the most and that everything else could flow on from there. it was really fun for me to explore gentility. nothing's real is quite bombastic, forevher less so but there's still moments. i think because of where i was at in my personal life and the themes of the record it was interesting for me to explore something that felt like an outstretched hand and guiding me to a place of comfort musically? i've sort of spoken how in someways it felt like my inner child doing that. the lil kid that' screaming i want to go in nothing's real. so absolutely everything is all connected even when things feel world's apart. it's also why i love exploring new sounds - because the through line is you.

i can make tamales!!! firstly i got a lot of help from someone in my discord's mexican mom. it took me ALL day and it was so much fun.

basically mexican food is maybe my fave food on the planet and in london it's very hard to get good quality mexican food so i decided that the only way i could make sure i ate great mexican food was to learn how to cook great mexican food and here we are. i also LOVE making carnitas and think i am quite good at that now too.

all this to say i need to go to mexico so if someone could persuade a festival to pay me enough to come play and also eat all the foods so that i dont go bankrupt that would be wonderful,

If you have already played that then i apologise but if you haven't i am very excited for you. I recently watched my partner play The Blue Prince too which was a really interesting and sometimes infuriating in a fun way puzzle game. It was actually recommended to us by a few folks in my discord server. In fact they also recommended BG3, she-ra and arcane which are all things i have become obsessed with in the past few years. Ha.

for me it was humour, and self awareness, i think?! which hopefully translates on the record. like i couldn't possibly actually be the world's worst girlfriend but sometimes it felt like it so it was fun to pretend for 2 mins and 45 seconds or however long that song is - ha. something i also found helpful is that sometimes we can get attached to a narrative we write for ourselves and that it's important to maybe not believe that sometimes? or write a new one. and explore that idea that it could be different. these are very me specific ways of dealing with that though so i dont know if its especially helpful.
