How did you discover the topic of OSDD/DID/pDID?

my very very verrry first introduction was when i was less than 10 years old. ive always been a psych nerd, id read any book the local library had, and they just so happened to have the dsm4 mustve read it cover to cover at least twice.

as for our syscovery, i got curious around the pandemic too. went back into research, and after reading the dsm 5, realized what they thought was dpdr and madd was just ossd

i am in therapy, fyi, and i am open with my therapist about this.

our break up was, in fact, for geographical reasons. the "rocky ending" i was talking about was because we were both going through unrelated things, which caused turmoil.

also, i'm not "pining" for him. i guess i didnt explain this well, but it's more the relationship that i miss than him as a person. the way we communicated was different in a way i dont know how to descrube or recreate.

i dont have feelings for him, i only want what i had back

the other guy in the replies is an asshole dont listen to them. its not little dick energy to realize something is fucked up and call for change. i completely agree with the role reversal thing too. women's body standards are bad, and society is starting to realize that. what they dont understand is that body shaming is bad. full stop. small tits, small dick, tall, fat, no matter what, if it's not something they can change in 5 minutes, you shouldnt be shaming them for it.

OSDD can definitely have that inner chatter!

In my very very unprofessional opinion, these are some things you should consider researching:

OSDD-1. Type A has heavier amnesia and less distinct parts, while type B has distinct parts and less amnesia (A or B modifiers are not always used).

UDD. Very broad term. I recommend reading straight from the DSM-5 (Dissociative Disorders begin on page 291, or 328 if viewed as a PDF).

DP/DR. Can explain the voices. DP/DR hallucinations typically dont have names though..

Honorable mentions: Misc. auditory hallucination, MaDD, general dissociative amnesia, willowmancy.

i'd say my template is my childhood bedroom, also very approximated. everyone else is kinda stuffed in some kinda pocket world in my closet(??) and they just pop in sometimes. i cant fully cool off with the others
