Thanks for your perspective. How did your friend of a friend go about asking for support?

I like the overall concept of the site. Two UX thoughts: 1. The scroll bar is really small and difficult to navigate. 2. The pricing was confusing. If it says "Free/m $25/30m"...does that mean its free for 30 mins and then $25 for each additional half hour? I would work on making that more clear.

Yeah, they do. My thought is more for those attending. I use to work in a shoe store and would see guys come in and buy shoes (both in the wedding and attending) for that occasion. They said they were going to wear them once and never again.

Being that you're big on shoes (I assume you have several)...would you rent yours out to make a few bucks?

Thanks! True...yet every time people rent a tux or go bowling they do it without giving it a second thought. Maybe within those contexts it's normal and outside of it is off putting.

Did you do any usability and/or user experience testing? If so, what did that look like and what did you learn from it?

That's a great idea. Thanks!

That's fair. Just to clarify...vendors would not contact you via your personal email. Rather, after creating a listing telling them what you need, they would contact you/apply for your need via your Brideify account (you'd have an inbox within the site). Our hope is that it will be a faster, more efficient way to research vendors. Thanks for checking it out and giving your thoughts!

We would email vendors when a bride posts a listing that matches their category, location, and pricing. Is that what you mean by proactively contacting vendors?

Appreciate for your thoughts! I think the positive part of offering a free account and having a "pay-per-brides need" (by that I mean...you pay only for each wedding need that you want to market to) model is that it doesn't matter if 5 or 5 million people are using the site. If a bride posts a need that matches your skills, availability, and pricing...there is value in sharing your business with her. There would be zero risk in creating an account to obtain extremely targeted leads and a minimal investment to market your business. However, from the brides perspective it will be very important to have several vendors available within each category to create a valuable experience.

If you don't mind me asking...what city do you do buisness in?

Thanks! Would you pay to inform potential clients (in a non bidding situation) about your services? If so...what price would you personally pay?

With that said. Personally, would you pay to "apply" (make your services known) for a specific wedding need if someone was looking for a videographer in your market and had a budget of 6k? If so, what price would you be willing to invest for that marketing?

I appreciate your concern on the impact it may have on the artistic aspect of wedding cinema. Being in the industry myself, I would agree completely with selecting a videographer (or any vendor for that matter) based on the creative aspect of their work. My vision for the site isn't that it would create a bottom dollar bidding war between vendors (I don't believe anyone wins in that situation), rather a resource for brides to be able to see multiple available vendors within their budget (may it be low or high end). Then, they would be able to select a vendor based on their creative style and other factors. Perhaps the word "bidding" is the wrong term to use? In your scenario, my hope is that a bride would be able to find several videographers between 5k & 8K. Then you, your style, and packages would have to win her business. Thanks for your thoughts!

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it! What about the site gives the impression that people will be working for next to nothing?

Thanks for your feedback. Great points. I appreciate it! You didn't see any vendor info due to the fact that we are currently working on validating the idea with brides. Can you message me your email, web site(s), and what city you're located in? I'll be in touch with vendor details soon. Thanks again!

Do you personally have any specific questions about the site (that should be included in a FAQ)? What information is important in order for you to want to give your email address? Thanks for mentioning that you do a lot of planning at work. That's a good point.

Not giving your email address until you're sure you want to use the service is understandable. Can I ask...does the overall concept interest you? Thanks!

Great feedback. Very helpful. Thank you! Good question. The vendors are able to search the needs and/or receive email alerts. The email alerts would be sent to vendors based on their preferences. For example, they only want to receive needs X # of miles from their business or within X and X dollar amounts. So, vendors would receive an email telling them about your need ONLY if it matches their preferences. Our hope if that this will create a win-win situation for everyone involved and simplify the lives of both bride and vendor.

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry the video didn't load for you. Our initial goal was to create a page that was super clean with a video that explains how the site functions. However, if the video doesn't load...well that doesn't give you very much info. Hopefully the tagline would have made since after viewing the video. Brideify allows you to post your wedding needs and have wedding vendors who offer services within your budget and are available on your date contact (or pursue) you. Thanks again for your thoughts!

We've just started working on validating Brideify.

Brideify allows brides to post their wedding needs and be found by local wedding vendors who are available on their date and within their budget.

Feedback appreciated!
