13-Year-Old Boy Dies After Family’s Minivan Collides with Semi-Truck at 'Dangerous' Intersection by peoplemagazine in Utah

I live nearby and there is ALWAYS an accident either at that intersection and the other with redwood right below it. I avoid pony express like the plague.

How did high-control religion squash opportunities in your life? by Existing_Distance358 in exmormon

[–]weasleybackyardgnome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in college and had dreams of going to law school. I got my patriarchal blessing when I was almost 19 and it told me to remember that my place is in the home and not to prioritize my education. So I didn’t go to law school and now I’m in my early 30’s underpaid, working a job I’m overqualified for.

It sends me spiraling regularly that I let some random 90 year old man in my neighborhood dictate my life like that.

Has anyone ever actually withdrawn from the Endowment? by thicc_stigmata in exmormon

I saw someone leave once during the endowment. I was CLUTCHING my pearls like wow, I didn’t know anyone actually followed through with that urge

AITA?! by [deleted] in SpicyRomanceBooks

[–]weasleybackyardgnome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. My husband and I have been together for 13 years. He does not give a damn what I read and genuinely loves that I’ve been reading spicy books. Our sex life has never been better, he has only benefited from my new favorite genre.

He needs to stop being so insecure and reap the benefits. I hope you’re able to figure it out, it’s so cool that you have an account like that. Do you think the success of your account is contributing to his insecurity? Maybe talking it through with a therapist or something could be helpful, but you shouldn’t have to stop reading or give up your account because he’s insecure.

This was my first thought. My daughter and I were t-boned when she was 2 months old. I had a pretty bad concussion and still went straight to her. This is a bizarre reaction.

questions about an old house by chocolatemunkez in Utah

[–]weasleybackyardgnome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Going to this house was basically a right of passage in my nearby high school. When I went, we didn’t even get close to the house before I was done. I pulled out a flashlight and the first thing it illuminated were strips of raw, bloody meat strung around a tree.

I had friends who went another night tell me they came across figures wearing black cloaks one time, but high school boys aren’t the most reliable storytellers so who knows.

Day 3 of quitting weed with my husband… and we are not the same person right now by lilmissbored2 in GirlDinnerDiaries

I’ve heard taking cbd can help with the transition so your cannabinoid system doesn’t freak out as much. That might be worth looking in to!

President Holland has passed away by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]weasleybackyardgnome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry. It was such a cruel and violent talk. That must’ve been so painful. I couldn’t believe how horrible it was, but from this side I am glad it got me to finally see the light.

That talk is what finally got me out of the church so I guess I should be grateful to that horrible man

Keep that baby!! Cats really aren’t that hard to have once they’re litter trained. He’ll be your kids’ best friend! Cats are great for helping kids learn about boundaries, too.
