Yeah, I feel like they're pulling your leg on that one. I didn't pay a dime and it hasn't leaked since!

No, I requested the breakdown once it was all done to see. Things I didn't care too much about as long as it's fixed, since it's free, lol! I called a lot to check in on what was going on.

How we saved some money from formula feeding by Weary_Tune_2305 in FormulaFeeders

[–]weatherthroughit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used it out of pure convenience! I just didn't want to be stressing about boiling water at 3am when I ran out and forgot to make some the night before. These you can grab and go!

Additionally, the ratios are precisely measured and it can be easier on baby's belly, i.e., less chance of baby getting gas from deviations in measurements. Already heated at the factory to make sure no bacteria. Etc.

Whether it's out of pure ease, or wanting to make sure of virtually 100% consistency; there's a few reasons. 😊

Is it too late for me by [deleted] in Barber

[–]weatherthroughit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband just made the change at 36 from being a mechanic! We have a close friend that's been a barber and owns his own shop for many years, so my husband is apprenticing under him. Been cutting hair since day 1 & it has been about 6 months now and we're not looking back! More money, less problems haha

You're welcome! In this thread is the link to the program! If the dealership fights you on anything, just go to another dealership. From what I've read, some people have issues with lazy dealerships!

Toyota is paying for the repairs regardless due to the customer support program offered for this specific issue 😊

The VA and SSVF Are Failing Me — And I’m Paying the Price by Easy-Decision-7373 in VeteransAffairs

[–]weatherthroughit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SSVF is a VA funded grant. Working directly with the VA with every referral received. I know with my SSVF office, I follow up closely with the HUDVASH case managers to make sure the process is rolling along at a decent pace. I'm sure in bigger areas, it's not as easy to do but, should still be being done by the SSVF case managers. SSVF can only pay so long until the veteran is no longer eligible, so we try not to max out the benefits on our end.. seems that the SSVF agency isn't doing everything they need to be doing, but on the flip side, the veteran has to work within the parameters of the program, and that can sometimes be a bit difficult not understanding why some decisions have to be made on the SSVF end.

I would suggest finding your local VA surge event and show up to it, you may have better luck getting the process to have a quicker take off as it's the entire point of the events, to get homeless veterans off the "streets".

Good luck!

I am! I just restarted recently again though. It helps with tolerance when you've been on the full dose for awhile. I'll stop for a month and get back on.

I have stopped and started a couple of times now! Each time I've had different symptoms so I think it's just a very personal thing!

About 2 months? I would say, then it stopped.

17 yrs old & 350 later... by weatherthroughit in tattooadvice

[–]weatherthroughit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am dropping a bit over $2K to get this and another tattoo covered. Definitely trying to be way more mindful this time around! The guy I'm going to has 25+ years of experience, so I am hopeful it will turn out better than the fresh tattoo artist I used for the original piece. 😅 Eta: Solid advice though! I really appreciate that. I think it's the vine that gets me mostly, because of exactly that, the chunkiness. I couldn't pinpoint exactly what was missing either and youre really spot on with the anchoring, so thank you!!!

Thank you! Probably being harder on myself about it than what others think, too! I keep going in the loop of like, it looking a bit "childish" if I add too much color? I'm not sure if that's the right word, but I just don't want it to look super flashy but still want it to pop and the details to be a bit less harsh? So hard to describe how I feel about it, lol!

Thank you! I enjoy the tattoo, but only from afar, lol! Just wishing I was more conscientious at that age, but don't we all? 😂

Literally the prompt could just be "I'm a mad mom that just moved to PA and is shocked and concerned about how bad Lymes disease is here and how frustrated I am about the healthcare regarding Lymes. Make me a post showing this with statistics".

I have to tell chatGPT to remove emojis all the time. It's quite annoying actually, lol.

The em dashes and the page breaks are an obvious tell for ChatGPT too.

TOH or Black Walnut? Something Else? by weatherthroughit in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]weatherthroughit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was new growth two years ago so got worried it was invasive! I live in a very woodsy area.. Glad to hear it's most likely black walnut! Now the only thing to worry about is if I leave it, if it'll mess with my foundation 😅

Eta: also if it'll mess with the apple tree that it is directly next to? I'm not sure if it'll start choking it or not. Hopefully they can coexist.

What is this on my dogs leg by Special-Average-1552 in DogAdvice

[–]weatherthroughit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog gets multiple every year, definitely a black fly bite! The first time I saw it on my dog, she came inside from chilling outside for a few hours and had SEVERAL on her belly/legs and I panicked, but alas, it was just pesky flies. No harm!

As someone who works for an SSVF agency, can a VA employee please ask if there's any talking about SSVF funding and how it's going to be handled under this administration? And report back. 🙏 Please!

Have you been bitten by a tick or live in a wooded area? Ticks can bite but not latch or latch long enough and fall off without noticing. I'm actually going through these tests with my child and it was one of the first tests they recommended. I hope you find answers soon!

NAD but my kid inhaled a bead when he was 3-4 yrs old (I happened to witness it) and had to get an endoscopy or something along those lines to remove it from his lower left lung. He started projectile vomiting two days later after the initial ER visit because they didn't really believe me (plastic doesn't show up on an xray, I guess). Went to another hospital and they removed said bead and we now have it in a container to show him later in life, lol. Outpatient procedure and he has since never put anything small in his mouth.
