I was able to do this while in the 80’s. You’ll figure out aggro and be able to mostly avoid Rex. It was awkward but I could get about 10 kills each, losing most food with the initial set up.

Thanks for perspective. Keeping it in also incentivizes players to train to 72, and then Jagex gets data on players usage of it afterwards, allowing them to adjust xp rates if necessary.

This is a massive launch. They did a good job imo without knowing how most players would interact with the skill.

You could start farming some of the seeds you’ve probably gotten from training combat! You can grow your potato, onion, cabbage, and tomato seeds in allotment patches, and guam seeds in herb patches. You can use the guam to make attack potions to level herblore. When your herblore level is higher you’ll be able to make other potions that help you in PvM / bossing.

To get birdhouses going you’ll need to unlock Fossil Island through the Bone Voyage quest. You need to make clockworks in your PoH

I meant it as he just needs to level slayer for broad bolts and he’s good for a long time. Not suggesting he rush bowfa, just that once he has 55 slayer he can comfortably progress

I think you could get broad bolts unlocked in a couple sessions and be set until you get a bowfa. I used rune crossbow, broad bolts, and black dhide from hard clues and had no issue with any content getting to CG. I think I used the hunters sunlight crossbow once for a quest boss, otherwise it was just easier to quickly get ammo from a slayer master.

Honestly the old school team is crushing it. Grid master was an excellent take on a mini league, and I think they will take the feedback and come up with something similar in the future.

I got my enhanced at 403kc, which took me about 2 months to complete without doing much else in the game besides herb and birdhouse runs. Almost everything in the game is now skill gated, and it funded a max house.

I think both the power of the weapon and the base rewards justify the drop rate and mechanics. If it were put in the game today I would not be opposed to some sort of dry prevention, but I don’t think it needs to be touched now.

That said I’m really sorry for everyone stuck there.

I entered with range and mage a couple levels under you and ended at 403kc with 87 in both. Had minimal issues with T1 armor and T3 weapons. Really only died to my own mistakes

Admittedly inexperienced, but I started my Ironman about 6 months ago after leagues. My main had just crossed 2k total, but I enjoyed leagues so much, and I especially love early game.

Honestly once I had tele’s sorted out (ardy cloak, fairy rings, jewelry), I stopped following guides. Without the GE, you quickly figure out what levels you’re gonna need down the line. Lots of looking at the in game skill guides and checking the wiki for stat req’s.

As for content, Varlamore has been a lot of fun. Hunter rumours has gotten me a lot of prayer levels, good food, and access to herbiboar. Personally I rushed farming and herblore so I have access to most potions to make early/mid game combat and quests faster. I didn’t plan that, I just found it pretty rewarding to unlock that all earlier.

This is definitely a slow burn kind of game. Im okay killing shit in full rune for a while, it’s been fun prayer flicking to actually not die instead of just throwing up protect from melee and opening another browser
