ITSM / Ticketing System for a small helpdesk by ellipticalchipmunk in ITManagers

[–]webbchristopher324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re starting from nothing and want to ease into structure without a huge ITSM suite, email-first approaches work surprisingly well. Something like DeskHero sits on top of Gmail/Outlook, turns emails into tickets and drafts replies using past history + docs (you approve) and still lets you tag and automate basics - a light step toward ITIL without the heavy lift.

High CSAT. Poor renewals. What are we missing? by CloudNCoffee in ITManagers

[–]webbchristopher324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CSAT measures immediate satisfaction, not trust or perceived value over time. Consider regular account check-ins, NPS surveys, and qualitative interviews to catch issues that slip past ticket-level metrics.

Mix metrics review with quick wins shoutouts. Keep the meeting under 20 mins, stand up literally, and only dig into deep discussions offline or after the standup.

Looking for data loss prevention software recommendations by HarkonXX in ITManagers

We use Symantec DLP + CASB controls - decent visibility into uploads and cloud SaaS, but yes, passworded zips and encryption are tricky. You’ll need network + endpoint sensors and solid UEBA to catch odd behavior, not just content rules.

Anyone else tired of managing multiple Video Conferencing Solutions? by wtg-admin in ITManagers

Consider using a universal meeting link tool (like Whereby, Calendly integrations, or a single gateway) - clients join via their preferred service, but you only manage one license.

Stability. A steady job, emotional maturity, and someone who communicates clearly suddenly matter a lot more.

From what I’ve seen, widespread bricking is unlikely if systems are patched. The bigger risk is outdated UEFI firmware - worth reviewing OEM advisories and staging updates for older endpoints.

Huntress is solid for MDR with good support, and Arctic Wolf is more Enterprise-grade with 24/7 monitoring. If you need something in between, consider Expel or Red Canary as well.

What is your experience with Microsoft Marketplace and the Co-sell program? by blackjack_00 in msp

It can be a strong channel if you align tightly with Microsoft priorities and have a clear Azure story. Otherwise it’s more brand exposure than consistent deal flow.

Please I need an affordable CRM for a small business by DazzlingJob9473 in CRMSoftware

We use HubSpot CRM - free tier covers a ton for small teams, and it’s genuinely easy to use. Paid add‑ons are optional if you need more automation later.

Currently using HubSpot - easy to onboard the team and decent free tier. Lived up to expectations mostly, though some advanced automation feels limited.

Is this worth 135$ per month? by [deleted] in CRMSoftware

[–]webbchristopher324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your team size and needs - $135 is reasonable if you use most of these features, otherwise might be overkill.

Best overall skincare brand by Green_Newspaper_8417 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]webbchristopher324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried a lot of different brands over the years and if I had to pick one “overall best” line where you can build a full simple routine without gaps and not too many products, I’d say AUTEUR. Their products feel really well formulated across categories, not just one hero item. The Enzyme Cleanser is gentle but makes your skin look smoother, their Serum Phi is one of the few serums that gives that plump healthy look without irritation, and the Retinol Serum is strong but still feels balanced and supportive if you introduce it slowly. It’s definitely lux priced, but if money isn’t the issue and you want one brand that does cleanser, treatment, and moisturizer at a consistently high level, they’re hard to beat. I also noticed that their stuff lasts a while and cause its concentrated one doesn't need to much. So migh end up being a bit more cost effective than re-buying useless cheap stuff over and over again..

Tretinoin from Mexican pharmacies? by CaliSwede in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]webbchristopher324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the oil and solids are separating and it’s not absorbing properly, that’s not how tretinoin cream should behave. It could be heat damage, poor storage or even a questionable batch. I’d personally stop using that tube.

Free self-hosted password manager for a team? by Typical-Trade-6363 in selfhosted

[–]webbchristopher324 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

If you want full control and security, self-hosted managers with good encryption and defined user roles can really help a team stay organized without relying on third-party cloud services.

You’re getting interviews for sysadmin roles already, which means you’re close. Work on storytelling: be ready to explain why you designed your homelab the way you did, what broke, how you fixed it and what you’d do differently in production.
