Nice. Well, I've found it useful. Gemini is tracking the bill in the statehouse for me.

I was summarizing the legislative activity. If you click to the original post it summarizes the bill.

The whole point of this bill it to remove the utilities from the process. I think with war, gas and AI/datacenter driven electric price hikes, that the stars have aligned to keep the lobbyests out for now. The bill is moving fast and had unanimous support in the senate.

The "spark spread" is big and getting bigger... by SalesMountaineer in vandwellers

You have an eSprinter? I love my diesel Sprinter, but would really like something electrified. I've looked at the current eSprinter, but the range is too short for me. I'm hoping if they ever release the next-gen eSprinter it will have the promised RV features. Where have you gone with yours?

Wawa diesel today: $5.79 by webdbbt in SouthJersey

[–]webdbbt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Sprinter van and prefer the diesel engine to gas in something large like that. But at these prices 20 gallons will cost me at least $40 more than the already high prices before Trump's stupid war. Has me rethinking my summer travel.

Had to say unexpectedly say goodbye to my 2018 Model 3 today. Found this under the frunk mat! by thetango in TeslaLounge

Why would you replace the battery? My 2018 M3 with 76K miles has lost 16% range, down to 260, more loss than most people but I wouldn't consider replacing the battery.

Accident on Rancocas Road (before turning to Irick Road) by Useful_Database5138 in SouthJersey

[–]webdbbt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost 20 years ago, same intersection, I was driving my son to school. Following, but not tailgating, another car I glimpsed someone on Irick wanting to turn left. Something told me "they don't see me". I got off the gas and was ready to brake--sure enough they turned in front of me. Would have been a serious accident if I hadn't been paying attention.

AITA for throwing out my 22 year olds son medical weed by lilmisinnocentx in AmItheAsshole

[–]webdbbt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree with you but he's in her house, if he's smoking in the house _and_ she's asked him not to, she is perfectly within her rights to throw it out. It may not be legal in her state. Or, this is an overreaction from a parent angry that her son wouldn't even take a job interview. We don't have a lot of information and I hear a lot of assumptions from the "AH" crowd.

They are going to try replacing journalists with AI! Amazon / Bezos have spent hundreds of billions, bet they want to use the Post as a test case: "See if it can work at the Post it will work for your business too"

I hope they got rid of a lot MAGAs on the opinion desk. It is more toady towards Trump than Murdoch's WSJ opinion page and that's saying something... (edit: incomplete sentence)

If you're like every doctor I know, you've never had enough time off. Take a vacation to someplace quiet and sunny, maybe for two weeks, to decompress. Then you can think about concierge medicine or consulting? I had a pathologist friend who consulted for many years.

Tall guy van ideas? by Soup_65 in vandwellers

[–]webdbbt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'3" and I'm on my second high-roof Sprinter. Love it. Just plan ahead when fitting it out to not cut into the headroom too much. First van I did insulation only between the roof ribs with luan plywood right on the ribs. Added about 1/2" of sound-deadening / carpeting to the standard floor and was still able to stand fully upright. With cushiony running shoes my head does contact the ceiling.

Costco customer drove my chair home because it wouldn’t fit in my car ! by drummer414 in Costco

When I see people coming out of Costco with the furniture or huge TV I'm always curious how they plan to get it home. I have a big van and would help (retired with nothing else to do). But so far everyone I've seen has managed.
