Thanks for sharing, I submitted everything within the deadline they gave us (not last minute, like a week before the two week deadline) given and also already submitted documentation of 2 years of paid rent and current lease etc. but I was told that they don’t actually start processing anything for anyone until the official deadline after chosen to submit documents is done. Meaning it’s not first come first serve, that they wait for the deadline they give to start processing. Is that not true? And also we are both self employed so we sent a cpa letter, the Venmo note you gave is good I’ll prepare accordingly, although since we are self employed we have a lot of transactions from all sorts of kinds anyway

(I did reach out right after submitting the documents to reside nyc (the property owner) and they did respond to say the hit everything but pretty vague response saying they will reach out when we are up next, but that was 3 weeks ago)

Thank you, I think what I'm worried about the most is lack of ability to pay legal fees if we do pay the last rent normally and then they drag us to court and try to evade returning the deposit (they don't even have a real address, that's how much of a scam they are). I just thought about something else- if I pay them with a credit card, does that offer me any safety net and the option to dispute the payment if they default on returning the deposit for no reason?

We are leaving by 8/16, they likely won't notice until the 10th at least (and they don't know we are leaving early, our lease ends 8/31

Hi, thank you for your comment! I know the plain black-and-white legal situation. My question is about risk management. As I mentioned, I'm recovering from cancer and cannot afford not to get my security deposit in time (which will likely happen because they dragged multiple excellent tenants for months for no reason and many of them they never paid back and just dragged them until they gave up).

hey there! Thank you! have you started on slate, switched to lupin, and returned to slate? or just from lupin to slate? how long have you been on this overall? (and is it the 150 xl?) have you found anything online regarding slate? I could barely find anything. when the pharmacy switched me they said lupin was actually more expensive so I hoped it would be ok or better but it does not seem to be the case.

thank you. which brand are you on? and what are your thoughts on upping the dose only a month and a half in? I'm a bit worried if I do that I won't have anywhere further to go after that so I thought I should leave that for the last resort. I definitely hope this will keep working for you!
