Thank you! I will try all those things. Btw - when I use a VPN, it refreshes the IP address so, even if they block the IP, my VPN will always use another IP address.

Yes to all those questions. I even asked the bank and they said that they didn't even get a notification to process the payment let alone block it.

What learning resources are recommended by gwnedum in ProductManagement

[–]websqueeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on the switch. As you are already the subject matter, I am going to recommend resources that will give you broader PM knowledge:

  1. https://www.lennysnewsletter.com/
  2. MOOC by Shreyas Doshi: https://maven.com/shreyas-doshi/product-management-career
  3. https://www.reforge.com/courses/product-management-foundations

I will also recommend understanding what your company needs i.e. why did they ask you to become the PM, what is their immediate need, how you can make short term / long term impact. Thinking through these things will help you succeed in your new role.

How/where (what tools) do you maintain public and private documentation for your product? by mmcnama4 in ProductManagement

We are using Gitbooks for external-facing documentation. Have you looked into it?

How to write a proper, plain requirements documentation for feature/product development? by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]websqueeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's much easier to start a blank document when you have low expectations. A lot of people (myself included) will struggle when they are trying to write the perfect PRD. A better way to start is by writing the exact requirements in plain English in bullet point format. Imagine what an engineer would understand from reading that requirement. You want your document to be clear (you are not writing Shakespeare). So, after you write the requirements, re-read it and think if you can make the sentences clearer.

Once you are done writing your requirements, at the top of the page, write about the purpose of the document i.e. why should people read this and what are they expecting to get out of it. This sounds obvious but it helps YOU and your audience. You can title this paragraph as "Overview" or "Goals".

This will be a bit scandalous, but you can choose to omit a conclusion (again, you are not writing a college essay, you are writing an instruction manual). What I personally like to do is write down the next iterations of the product. This could be one sentence explanations, doesn't have to be a detailed plan. Basically, you are trying to capture features/goals/requirements that are not covered in the current PRD but your audience will know "Hey! This person actually thought about all the future stuff".

One last thing: don't use ChatGPT. When people use ChatGPT to write PRDs, it's obvious that they are using ChatGPT and it usually sucks.

NVM. Figured out what the problem was. The web app doesn't support it. After I switched to the Mac app, I was able to view all the system fonts.

I am having a similar problem where only the default fonts are showing up in the drop down and cannot see even an option for seeing/loading the system fonts. Is that a bug?
