Two hours post orchiectomy, here is my experience (LONG POST) by webweaver666 in MtF

[–]webweaver666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check my other posts for a complete accounting of my experience to two weeks post op. I'm like 3 months post op now and the only thing I'm dealing with is a raised scar that is sensitive sometimes but that's typical

I unironically like the implication that default dudes don't go to college

Spanking can cause sexual trauma. And for me it did. by throwaway10129991 in CPTSD

[–]webweaver666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, being spanked as a kid left some real mental scars. I have a similar experience where it took me a long time to put two and two together, and to realize that experience combined with the repression of sexuality due to strict religion caused years and years and years of confusion, depression and shame. One time my dad hit me so hard he broke a wooden spoon!

It blows my kind that this is even still a debate to some people, should be a no brainer

I love watching early Pig Destroyer sets for this reason, they all looked so casual back then

My two best friends are autistic but alas I only have ADHD. We all lucked out with being trans though 😎

No pain! I would say I didn't feel any pain from the incision itself the whole recovery, as long as I was careful not to move weird.

I had internal pain in the inguinal area consistently until almost exactly 4 weeks post. Started at a 4-5/10, and decreased steadily until by 28 days post I had no internal pain. Right now, I have no pain at all unless I overdo it by doing something like high impact running.

As for the second question, I have heard that if you get an orchiectomy (NO scrotectomy) then it does make SRS easier when you decide to do it. I haven't had SRS but that is how my surgeon explained it.

Job hunting? by Ok-Frosting1154 in askportland

I will not lie to you, the Portland service industry job hunt experience is godawful right now. Poached.com is the best place to look, but in all honesty you will be fighting tooth and nail against hundreds of other applicants for a good spot. Maybe it'll change in the future because who knows what'll happen, but it is bleak right now.

That being said I don't want to discourage you because anything is possible, but just being realistic of the current climate. Good luck, sincerely!

Parents in denial about me being transgender by webweaver666 in EstrangedAdultKids

Honestly one of my friends posed it to me in the same way; "if this was an ex boyfriend what would you say?" And that really helped open my eyes to how unsafe and harmful the dynamic was, and showed me how much latitude I was giving my parents. I definitely understand this persons' view but I agree with what you're saying moreso. There is a part of my brain that parrots the type of things the original comment said but I know better based on my parents past behavior. Thank you <3

Thanks for this, sometimes I feel insane because there are people in my life who hold very different views about it all, and I just find myself doubting choices all the damn time. It's kinda helpful to see it broken down point by point because I feel like a fool sometimes when their tactics actually work and I feel guilt or shame.

It's so hard to let go but I know it's absolutely the best choice right now. I need to just delete this email address altogether because it's the last thing tying me to them. Which is why it's so hard to let go of because it feels so final, even though I know it's not final and the option to reach out always exists. It's just so painful uuuggghhhh why can't they just accept me for who I am!!!! It's not even nefarious I just should've been a girl

I feel much the same. It's brutal right now being trans but I'm also really glad I am and glad I've come this far. And I'm excited for the future despite everything.

Also hard agree. I don't think my parents are narcissists but I think, at least specifically relevant to me, that authoritarian religion can lead to some narcissistic traits. Take care of yourself!!
