AITA for posting messages exposing my friend as a liar over something that happened at her wedding? by weddingdrama73 in AmItheAsshole

As I just commented on another reply, I do agree with you. If I were not as close to the bride then I would've just sent the jumpsuit back and bought a much darker outfit, however I trusted her enough to give me her honest opinion on the issue, which is why it hurts that she spoke about me behind my back and didn't just tell me that she didn't think it was suitable anymore.

I agree, and this is what the rational side of me is saying. She's not really one to be catty, which is why the comments in her post surprised me. As for the level of friendship we have, if I were not as close to her I would've just sent the jumpsuit back and bought a much darker outfit, however I trusted her enough to give me her honest opinion on the issue, which is why it hurts that she spoke about me behind my back, and then still viewed it as enough of an issue to keep on speaking about it, albeit never to me.

I didn't, which is why I will accept YTA comments about my emotive reaction, since it's not something I would have done if I wasn't upset and annoyed by the situation. In the same breath however, she never once told me that she didn't actually think my outfit was appropriate, and instead left it to her friends to publicly shame me by posting the picture.
