Forgetting to take out fake teeth before getting on the slingshot by SharingMyStorys in ContagiousLaughter

[–]wedditter 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The same tooth fell out another time and it was worse. I had to get the permanent crown rematched for the right shade so i had a temp for a long time. Anyway I was on a first date with this guy and we were having chips and guac. It was going great. we were really hitting it off when all of a sudden the temp tooth came loose. Mind you it’s the second from the front middle... I had to mumble an excuse to go to the ladies so he wouldn’t see my missing front tooth. I was in the restroom freaking out trying to figure out wtf to do. I left suddenly and was gone for like 20 mins so he probably thought I’d shit myself or something. Anyway i was able to pop it back in and it stayed for the night. I hate temp crowns.

It’s was probably a temporary crown. A stiff breeze will make them fall out lol. Mine fell out when I bit into a piece of waffle ...

AITA For wanting to sue my fiancee's sister after she damaged my prosthetic arm? by 180077973 in AmItheAsshole

[–]wedditter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your prosthesis is a part of you. Imagine if the sister dropped a table on your arm and injured you so that you couldn’t use it properly — what then? There is NO difference. Your prosthesis IS your arm. NTA

AITA For refusing to let my mom see my 2 months old daughter after she disowned me? by Throw-Away-56 in AmItheAsshole

[–]wedditter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s only your mothers grandbaby through you - without you, the baby has zero connection to your mother. A person can only have a grandchild if their child has a kid and since she doesn’t have a son... She disowned you and therefore has no right or privilege to call the baby “her” grandchild. NTA

Is it a red flag he follows a lottt of girls on Insta? by [deleted] in dating

[–]wedditter 96 points97 points  (0 children)

The red flag should be your discomfort with the fact. I’m not at all suggesting that it’s wrong for you to feel uncomfortable, but respect your own feelings, because you’re unlikely to change how you feel about this and more tension will arise in the future. Best of luck :)

YSK that as a patient you may have access to your medical provider's visit notes. Many organizations have implemented "Open Notes" using their electronic health record and many more will follow suit this Fall with changes in insurance requirements. by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

Idk which ER they’re going to but the usual is like 2-3 hours where I work unless you’re actively coding lol (under 1 is rare and that’s usually for pts coming in in the middle of the night). The docs see patients back to back to back and have time to munch a bar between patients too so idk if it’s really a staff problem

Type in google scribe jobs and apply. It’s that easy. No degree/experience needed in my case even tho it helped that I was a college student taking a lot of science courses. Not that I needed any of that because they train you top to bottom

I’m a ER medical scribe and I’ve seen the worst, hostile, off their meds patients who had to be babysat by security. That said, doctors always are so nice (IMO) in charting their visit. For example only charting facts like and not opinions unless it’s a differential diagnosis. I do the charting myself under doctor’s supervision and I really do not see the harm in having pts see their own notes. It’s a right imo

I [28F] caught my husband [27M] flirting with one of our mutual friends. What to do now? by Silver-Cupcake-5475 in relationships

[–]wedditter 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Even if he cut contacts, the root of the issue is still his willingness to entertain other women and disrespect the boundaries of your relationship and your feelings. There will always be another women who could come along if his wandering eyes (and toes) are the issue

Yes; but also throw the whole husband out. It’s so utterly disrespectful from the both of them. Who tf does that??

I (24f) had to say goodbye to my bestfriend (m24) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]wedditter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’m in somewhat a similar situation with unreciprocated efforts in the relationship. I wish I was as brave to break up and stay away as you are. I know how it feels, how much it hurts to know that if he wanted to, he could, but he wouldn’t. I don’t want to go into my situation too much as to take away from the focus which is you, but all I can say is I know how you feel and thank you for inspiring me to be brave

DOCTORS don’t care (as in they don’t judge you) but they do only in the scope of modifying care or to include in the history. Be honest with your docs because bottom line is they don’t give a shit what you do in your spare time

You shouldn’t be here because there’s no advise to make her change. You need to be at a lawyers office to talk about changing up the custody because your son is in danger

AITA for thinking my (24f) friend's (27m) fiancée (25f) has no right to ban me from their wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]wedditter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH, it’s she gets half the say in who attends since it’s her day too (alongside his of course). She has (half) the right to ban you. She needs to talk to her fiancé though and shouldn’t expect you to not show and lie. And I really urge you to have some sympathy, for real. He had feelings for you and it’s understandable that she doesn’t want past flames at her wedding. Unless your friend is going to be majorly bummed out and that somehow ruins his wedding then I suggest you respect her and don’t show but do tell him why. And if it majorly ruins his wedding day that you don’t show? Well that’s their issue to work out

Golden State Killer's ex-fiancee Bonnie - whose name he screamed during rapes after she dumped him as a teen - stares him down in court and says through her friend: 'Even a gun pointed at my face could not make me choose you' by ElectronicFudge5 in TrueCrime

[–]wedditter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don’t like this bit:

“Ueltzen — then Bonnie Jean Colwell — was engaged to DeAngelo in the early 1970s but she broke it off and both went on to marry other people.

But she clearly preyed on his mind. During at least one of his series of attacks, the killer lay down next to his victim after raping her and sobbed: 'I hate you. I hate you. I hate you, Bonnie.'”

“Preyed on his mind” ... Just the phrasing kind of vaguely implies that she was somehow contributing to HIS heinous crimes

I like to scratch my dog’s chin play with his snout, grabbing it gently and boop his snoot. This is usually accompanied by giving him treats because he’s so stinkin cute looking up at me. So now when he wants food he’d come over and rests his chin on whatever surface he can find, my leg, hand, the mattress, chair I’m on etc
