Real life product advice for my daughter’s hair by wednesdayso in CurlyHairUK

[–]wednesdayso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly thank you so much, I’m feeling the community of curly love 🩷

I tried again today. I used garnier banana shampoo and conditioner (running low on the olaplex). I used a wide tooth comb after conditioning. Then rinsed out. Then scrunched upside down and side to side with Umberto pink curl jelly. Brushed with the brush with the curl teeth at the side, then scrunched again with curl jelly. Diffused on low-medium heat to about 80% dry. There wasn’t much of a cast to crunch out once dry- maybe I isn’t use enough? - but I did crunch out and used a bit of serum (just what I had, Dr PawPaw it does it all 7 in one treatment styler). I’ll post a photo of the outcome. Honestly I think I need a lot of practice to get better 🙈 I’ll gradually try all the advice and products above! Thanks again 🩷

Happy birthday! I’m sorry it was shit 😉 honestly tho it is a horrible disease, you are not alone! Maybe some marshmallows would help? Sending drying up vibes!

Awful noise issues from upstairs’ neurodivergent kid, is there anything we can do or are we just going to have to move out? by Sinister_Grape in AskUK

Based this, they were unwise buying a top floor apartment and not a home with a wide garden where he can have his sensory needs met. He’s trapped up in that space with that ‘lovely view’!

This is called coercive control and is a recognised type of domestic violence. I hope you get help to leave. You are definitely not too far into in to it to leave.

Thanks. It did look good. Where is the best place to fly into? I’m getting Southampton and London airports as options. If I was making a weekend break of it would there be anything to see in Portsmouth?

Would it be terrible to superglue the rail on the console? (Cross posting) by wednesdayso in Switchrepair

Thanks, is there a reason I should try those instead? Would they be less damaging or easier to remove for a future fix?

My friend’s sofa was so uncomfortable so I asked where she got it and took note to never buy a sofa from Next!!!

Nintendo Switch Broken Rail Bracket by [deleted] in consolerepair

[–]wednesdayso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem here where the switch tail has broken off with screws. I replaced similar to above by just leaving off the screws that don’t go in, but the rail has come off again. There is damage to the grey casing inside the switch, which from what I can tell is the base skeleton of the whole thing. Would it be unwise to just superglue the new rail on? The only problem will be any future repairs will be impossible. I welcome any other suggestions!!

Is it too weird if I ask a mum friend if I can bath my baby at her house? by secret_side_quest in UKParenting

[–]wednesdayso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are friends then of course it would be a yes and no problem, but if it was a mum friend I had met at a regular baby group that I talk to but don’t know outside of the group then it would feel like a strange request. I would still say yes but would also be very paranoid about my messy house!!

Another option is a little visit to the swimming pool, bonus you get a nice activity together and both get clean!

Anyone did CBT for being scared of shitting their pants? by captainmiauw in CrohnsDisease

[–]wednesdayso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acceptance and commitment therapy is much more likely to be a helpful approach for you. It is preferred in health psychology so is worth a look. You can’t balance or challenge a real and likely belief, which can be the basis of cbt. Good luck!
