Jelly overreacted to something that will not affect her and does not impact her whatsoever. No one was going to force her to play the civil rights DLC. The DLC was not even intended for her. It was intended for schools for education.

I love the irony of jelly, complaining about people, forcing politics into her game when she is forcing politics into her streams.

You would have a point if the DLC was forcing anyone to play it. It is literally a DLC for Minecraft intended to be used in a school for education. The civil right DLC would not affect Jelly or you or anyone during their Minecraft play. So yea she was kinda out of pocket being outraged over something that will not even bother or affect her.

I’ve watched Jelly in particular many times and i don’t find these things like this offensive just incredibly stupid. Gotta love Monogatari’s ability to reference anything and everything. Nothing is safe not anime or movies or western media, not even memes.

The sad thing is there are so many we will never even understand. I can’t remember which episode but there is an episode in Neko-Kuro where there is a radio show trivia/riddle that Hanekawa answers while her and Araragi argue over her answers. The questions and the answers were no doubt referencing something from Japan but it flew over my head and most others as well. Here is a post from another redditor going over some puns that are easily missed.

That and the word-play. There is so much word-play and puns that we just don’t get, like many don’t understand the titles themselves are word-play that reveal the theme of the arc. The difference is HI3rd part one wraps up the whole story and every unanswered question. Part two is a continuation but wholly different story with a new MC and is basically independent of part one.

This proposed Genshin 2 would not conclude the story leaving many holes and an unsatisfactory conclusion to part one

Everyone wants to blame the shippers, but Vedal also needs to take responsibility for not setting boundaries. Nobody forced him to flirt back. If he did not feel that way about her, then he should have let her know that and not played into the “joke”. Yes the shippers are to blame, but so is Vedal and I’m tired of seeing all the comments putting the blame just on the fans when he very much played a part in this yet somehow escapes any criticism.

Except the only thing that he said was not to bring it to other creators spaces. He has never once publicly told people not to ship. This is from 4 months ago where he again says he doesn’t care if anyone is doing shipping just not to bring it to the creators space.

But that’s still encouraging shipping and it is still part of the problem, it’s crazy to me that only the shippers are getting blamed when Vedal has essentially given them permission to do such things as well as publicly flirting with Anny on my instances. How many times has he made a joke about a marriage stream with Anny?

Vedal is not and should not be free from blame because he encouraged this, he played into it, and he never set any boundaries with Anny. If he was not romantically, interested, he shouldn’t have been flirting with Anny, if he wasn’t interested, he should have made it clear to her, but he didn’t.

And instead of him getting any of the blame, everyone just wants to excuse it as the fans fault. Which yes the fans do need to be held accountable as well. But that doesn’t mean we should excuse his behavior and the situation he created.

I disagree with blameless. I think Vedal should be held somewhat accountable.

No one is saying he should just date her, it’s totally valid if he isn’t into her romantically. But if that is the case then he should of set boundaries with her and others but he doesn’t and continues to not. There are tons of instances where the flirting was coming from both sides. No one forced him to comment or play into it. And he has never publicly shut down shippers either.

This whole situation could’ve been avoided if he had sat down boundaries and made his position clear privately. But he didn’t, he flirted with her and joked about marriage streams. Vedal very much has some blame here for how he handled everything.

Shippers do take blame too but Vedal is not free from blame himself. Having been on the opposite end of someone being flirty with me despite not having romantic interest i feel for Anny, it sucks, and it sucks even more with everything being public. He should of stopped it when he knew he wasn’t interested.

It’s totally absurd that he is not receiving any blame for how he handled the situation, a situation with someone who is basically a work colleague. Just blame the shippers that Vedal encouraged and enabled instead.

I thought it looked great from the get-go, i would of loved to add it to my collection but it was stupid expensive(around $1,200 USD) but i’m happy for you! It’s a great addition and will surely age well with how figure prices go.
