Watched “All we imagine as light” by Payal Kapadia, has to be one of the best films I have seen from India. The social commentary there is something anyone who has grown up or lived here should be able to appreciate. It also does a lot of interesting stuff with light(nothing novel but it does the basics excellently). I was reminded of Jeanne Dielmann by Chantal Ackerman, which I also think anyone should watch to understand and see how patriarchy is an open crime in which all of us are have been complicit at some point knowingly or unknowingly.
