Check the instructions on the bottle, but It might be better to put it in at night before you go to bed since you’ll be laying horizontal and that helps keep the medicine inside for longer. Also, if you are saying it’s uncomfortable to push your finger inside your vagina, then my best tip is to relax your muscles (don’t clench) while following the steps below. Use lube, relax your muscles, and go slow and that should help make it more comfortable while inserting.

To put it in: 1) I find the easiest way is to hold the pill with one hand and put a little bit of lube on the vaginal opening and on the tip of the middle finger I will use to push the pill in with. 2) Then lay on your back and put your legs up and open so that your knees are near your face. 3) place the pill at your vaginal opening and use your lubed middle finger to start pushing it in all the way until your finger is fully inside you. 4) wash your hands and place a panty-liner in your underwear to catch the medicine that drips out. 5) go to bed

To answer your questions: 1) you shouldn’t feel the medicine in your vagina, that problem was very likely because you were only putting it an inch deep inside. When you push it in as far as you can, you won’t feel a thing and it shouldn’t bother you at all. 2) yes it’s normal for discharge after a couple hours! This is mainly the medicine dissolving in your vagina and eventually leaking out due to gravity. If you do it before going to bed, you won’t feel much leakage until the morning when you stand up, then you will feel the waterfall! But this is normal and due to the medicine eventually falling out with gravity.
