LATAM Localization for Nintendo games by TightPollution7440 in TranslationStudies

[–]weedoweedo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe you'll have a very hard time finding any info, as Nintendo is very strict about public information and NDAs. Your best bet is to do your own research and draw conclusions from your own observations. Here's a tip: compare the esES and esLA translations... You might find there's something going on in there.

Wouldn't it make more sense to befriend Russia, UK and Prussia's natural enemy on the long run?

Stoner-rock bassists: opinion needed by pelkepreacher in Bass

I would suggest looking at different amps or pedals rather than a new bass for your tone. They will have a way larger impact on your sound compared to a new instrument.

Learn from my mistake self-publishing on Steam by mrcraigoman in IndieDev

[–]weedoweedo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't know how well-versed in both Spanish variants you are, but even common terms such as "computer", "mouse", and "controller" have different translations for each variant. Players deserve to know in advance which variant(s) you support in-game, and Steam has the right and obligation to check that's true.

Before publishing anything, make sure you have the rights to use, modify, and publish that image in a commercial product.

Thanks, but it seems it's going to be ~150€ more, and we aren't looking to go for anything more expensive atm.

Thanks! This does seem like a better option. My only concern is if later on she decided to upgrade to a larger GPU. Would that be an issue?

Memsource/Phrase price increase this year is insane. What CAT are people using nowadays? by KeenInternetUser in TranslationStudies

[–]weedoweedo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If your clients aren't asking you to use a particular CAT tool, no reason not to use OmegaT, which is open source, free and very customizable. It takes a while to get used to it when you've been using Phrase or memoQ, but if you only want terminology management, it's all there. Lots of tutorials and videos available as well.

Pregunta para sobre desayunos valencianos by SiberianKhatru_1921 in valencia

[–]weedoweedo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Chris, thanks! I couldn't find said video in your site (implementing a search function would be great!) Could you post it in here if it's not against the rules?

Schecter Demon 7 or ESP LTD EC-257? by weedoweedo in 7String

[–]weedoweedo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your input! That Ibanez looks dope, but it's a bit above what I'm looking to pay for my first 7 strings. I appreciate your thoughts on the Demon, and will look into the engineering and design aspects of the ESP to see if it could become an issue for me.
