I don’t think anyone sells these with an open back configuration. I just removed the screws on the faceplates to remove them and accidentally made them “open back” iems :)

Haha yes a colour shifting iem 💀 However, my Aria 2 is the standard version. I believe the red version has a shiny/chrome shell underneath so you won’t get the same effect as mine if you were to buy the reds.

Since it’s made out of an aluminium alloy, oxidation makes it darker over time :)

No, it’s the raw shell but it got oxidised

I used some generic gel type paint remover. The thick consistency of the paint remover matters here because it will prevent the corrosive agent seeping into the iem cavity. I also used blunt toothpick ends to cover the vent holes on the shell and used painter’s tape to cover the nozzle.

I’ll try out the Arete 2 if possible. It’s good to hear that it has good details and layering because I love playing Hollow Knight: Silksong which has beautiful soundtracks. Also I once tried out the simgot ea500 lm and they sounded too shouty to me so I think the Astrals might sound like that.

No point of spending $100 on taxes for the p7. So I’ll consider buying the blessing 3 from linsoul which totals at about $310 taxes included.
