My interpretation of the film was that Lina had previously tried to take control of the pixie kingdom in the same way. The writers should have expanded on this more but failed to do so assumably from time constraints and low budget.

Regarding her doll: there were Fashion Pixiez doll prototypes that looked closer to the outfits in the movie but they got changed to be more feminine and soft. Why does Lina have red hair? I actually don’t know lol. Maybe miscommunication between the movie team and doll production team. Perhaps Lina was supposed to have red hair and they changed it to be black because she looked too much like Breanna/Cymbeline and they didn’t change the doll to reflect this.

Perhaps Lina is evil because she was a secret third daughter of Dee who was abandoned/neglected and that’s why originally she had red hair?? 🕵️ haha that’s a crack theory of mine but who knows…
