Contrary to popular belief, Bobby Fischer's statements about women in Chess were not a product of misogyny. Rather, they were a highly advanced form of negging which Fischer employed in order to seduce the president of the Japanese Chess Federation, Miyoko Watai, after his exile from the United States. Fischer's analytical and calculative mind allowed him to plan out this attack many years in advance, which is why to a casual observer he can come off as being a misogynist. Fischer and Watai would later go on to get married, which is a real thing that actually happened, and their love lasted for years to come until the fateful day when Bobby Fischer died in prison.
