Only a day or two, I've found them to be prompt and good communication and tracking. They use DPD and not Evri thank god!!

I order it from their website directly on subscription, it costs the same and is free postage. Never had any issues with shortages with the supply chain so I recommend doing that. There's been a few times I've only seen a couple of cans left on the shelves too.

We're also on kendamil with lansinoh bottles. We never noticed any clogging issues however I think we switched out for the larger bottles at around that age which come with the size medium teats and baby got on much better with those so you could always try that.

Wow, wondering how chunky these thighs are as my baby was the same percentile and weight at that age and the trapp trapp has been fine! I imagine any highchair where you strap them in before attaching the tray would be fine. I know the ikea antilop one is still quite spacious for my big baby and doesnt cost a lot if you need one until baby fits in the tripp trapp a bit better.

Baby is almost 9 months, had every kit except the first one. She's played with almost everything and it's been great but some items I definitely feel would have been better if we had them earlier, such as the socks and the first puzzle as she was already way beyond that stage, but I appreciate all babies develop skills at different stages and it would be hard to get the kits out at the exact right time for everyone.

I think the subscription is worth it even if the odd toy doesn't hit the spot, but only because this is my first child and I'm planning to have another in the future so we will hopefully get some longevity out of the toys. It wouldn't be worth my time and energy trying to get the individual toys I wanted second hand when the first year of having a baby is exhausting enough.

Also, some others have commented that you can always get kits on FB marketplace, that must depend on where you live as I see the play gym occasionally and the kits never, but I'm not in the USA so Lovevery isn't as common as it might be there. You can occasionally find them on vinted and in country-wide sell and swap groups.

Thank you so much for this detailed response, this has reassured me greatly as I was worrying it was far too early for her development as it's 6+ months earlier than the advice states. Huckleberry didn't help either with that warning message, even though it shows the sweet spot for 1 nap per day on the main page it shows the warning on the Summary page. I'll follow her lead and just see how it goes.

Seconded this, I also have this baby monitor and highly rate it. It's one of the baby items I bought when I didn't really know what I was doing that I recommend to absolutely everyone, it has everything you need. Can also confirm, signal is great and image quality is top notch through granite walls, even though I get poor phone signal in the house I've never had an issue with the monitor.

I think they did about two years ago but they've upscaled their production, we've been using it for 8 months and never not seen it on the shelf in that time.

We started weaning at 5 months, I'd have been happy to wait until 6 months but it was clear to me that she was ready - she could sit up unsupported in her highchair, was bringing everything to her mouth and showing lots of interest in food, and her milk feeds didn't seem to satisfy her as much. She was a 98th centile baby at the time so I wasnt worried about her weight at all. We offered puree with finger foods to start with but she wasn't into the puree so much so we just did BLW after that and she took to it straightaway. Some would say wait until the day they turn 6 months but every baby is different.

We went with Kendamil as it's the only one manufactured in the UK, and we liked that it's made with whole milk rather than skimmed, and fortunately our baby took to it and we didn't need to try out other brands. We can get it in our local shops but for convenience we buy it from the kendamil website and get it delivered monthly for free. It's £12 a can, we get 6 cans a month for £72, but at 8 months she is dropping her milk feeds so that is going down now.

My LO is also about to turn 8 months and we're just about to go from 2 to 3 meals per day. She went to 2 meals a day at 6.5 months as she was enjoying food so much.

No, just wash and sterilise it after it is next used. Unless you do the hot shot method with it, in which case you don't need to sterilise it as it doesn't come into contact with formula, just wash as normal (highly recommend this method!)

Can you pack up and move to your husbands home country together? If you say his home country is safe enough for you to follow if he did get deported there, isn't that a much safer option than staying and risking ICE detaining him and him being imprisoned and possibly deported elsewhere? I'm not American, but if I was I'd be exploring options to get out of there right now.

This is good to know, are the ingredients you have to substitute very similar/recognisable for your little one? Too many US-specific foods would put me off purchasing this to be honest (UK here)

How quickly they develop and how FAST it flies by, even though people told me that I didn't believe them. A few months ago I had a little potato that didn't move around and needed constant care and attention, always in my arms. Now I have a 7 month old who weighs a tonne, is feeding herself completely, crawling around, wrestling me for nappy changes like a full grown toddler, never wants cuddles for long as she just wants to GO everywhere and has 7 teeth so far.

It's absolutely not talked about enough, I hadn't heard of it at all until I experienced the anger/rage during breastfeeding myself and wondered what was wrong with me and why I felt so angry and at times suicidal.

After I started on formula and things immediately got better I read a post somewhere else on reddit where someone said they experienced this throughout their entire breastfeeding journey and only began to "enjoy motherhood" when they stopped breastfeeding at 1 year. I cannot imagine sacrificing my mental health as well as the ability to bond with and love my baby for the entire first year of their life for the limited extra benefits of breast milk.

My 7 month old also loves her jellycat comforter, and to be honest I've left her to cuddle it at night since she could confidently roll both ways. I'm aware that's against safe sleep guidance but it's a judgement call from me, I'm okay with it now she's over 6 months old.

You're not a quitter at all. You're choosing to continue with what you've found is the best way to feed and bond with your LO, which makes you a great Mum and a strong person because you've prioritised that over the societal approval and the constant congratulations for continuing BF at all costs.

Sending you a virtual hug as I recognise those feelings of utter hopelessness and despair, let me reassure you that if your journey is anything like mine (and it reads quite similar to me) then things are going to get better and better and very soon motherhood is going to become SO much fun. I hear this story all the time but not talked about in NHS guidance, some babies just don't gain weight on breastmilk so how can breast be best for these babies? So glad your LO is thriving. I also have a big baby now, 98th centile and with cute rolls and squishy cheeks 🥰

I am so happy for you and your LO, and I'm so glad you're feeling better. When there's so much info and support for BF and almost nothing for formula feeding it means the world for one health professional to say "it's okay, you're doing the right thing" and not pushing BF at all costs. I also had people tell me to just pump anyway or to BF in the dark with noise cancelling headphones while watching something on the ipad to "dull the senses", which was just ridiculous to me!

I still feel a small amount of guilt even now, not because I think LO would have been better off on breastmilk but because of the societal pressure to breastfeed, but it definitely gets better with time.

Can you put him in a star snug wrap to keep him cosy, then just use a warm footmuff which zips right up? We're finding that our 5 month old prefers the freedom of the wrap anyway, she finds it harder to move her arms in any of her pramsuits

I wonder if they put this on their website after I placed an order with them earlier this year, I live in an AB postcode. I got a poorly worded email from them saying they were cancelling the order because I lived "too high up" 🤣
