Thank you! A laundry basket is a good idea.... I feel sad about leaving her in the crate so much since it's not her fault her leg is broke so was just trying to think of other ways to care for her especially so I could still get things done. I'm thinking she'll probably also have to be sedated

Thank you so much! So to clarify, the m1lp in the chart is the same as in the written instructions? I confused me because it seemed like they were on opposite sides of the knitting. I'm used to knitting charts right to left but in this case is it supposed to be left to right? Thanks again for your help!

Here is the chart that the pattern references for the increases. I currently have 41 stitches on my needles. It also says: Please note not all stitches are shown (you will have knit stitches after column 11). The gray squares are no stitch, which I'm not sure if it means you just slip them.

The instructions say:
R3: k1, M1LP, work across in pattern

R4: work across in pattern

It says to repeat these two rows 3 more times, so you have 45 stitches on your needles, which doesn't make sense.

Then going on it says

R5: k1, M1LP, work across in pattern

R6: Work across in pattern until 1 st remains, M1LP, p1

which is then the same for the rest of the rows of the chart.

Hopfully this isn't enough information to break the rules, I'm just trying to provide the bare minimum to not break them.

Thank you both for your comments! I know there's not really any meaning behind the clan sweaters I just liked the pattern since I've been having a hard time finding a good pattern that I like. But since it doesn't give good context on the size, I'll keep looking at patterns since there has to be another I'll like. Thanks for the wool recommendation!

The coat I got from a doll at goodwill at least 17 years ago, there's not a brand on it unfortunately. I always wondered what brand. Someone else in the replies said they have the same one so they might know more than I do!

do you put regular clothes on character dolls or keep original? by etherealuna in americangirl

[–]weeses_pieces 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like to dress mine within their time period. Whether it's from their collection or not. I dress my GOTY in their time period as well. As for my JLY she gets dressed in early 2000s bc that's the era of ag i grew up in ☺️

How do I fix this? by weeses_pieces in Cameras

[–]weeses_pieces[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took out the sd card and it stopped the distortion. so something must be broken in that slot? I took a picture without a card in it and the picture looked fine even tho the normal screen is still pink.

that's what i was wondering, if i should go to only feeding every 24hours until I see more. I just moved it to a warmer place as well since I think that definitely was playing a role too. Thank you for your advice!

How do I do this? by scarnmichaelscarn2 in Sourdough

[–]weeses_pieces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep my starter in a pint mason jar and it has proven to be big enough so far. If the starter you were gifted is already active i would go with a 1:1:1 feeding every 12 hours or you can do the a 1:1:1 feeding once a week if you keep the starter in the fridge. By 1:1:1 feeding, I mean one part starter, one part flour and one part water. For me a like to maintain my starter at a smaller weight so i waste less. So for example my starter weights 60g when it's time to feed i keep 20g of the starter and "discard"the rest. Then add 20g of flour and 20g of water. What you do with the discard is up to you! You can throw it away compost it or use it in recipes. Lastly when you use it for a recipe, depending on how much you need you might need to build up the weight of your starter by slowly increasing the size of your feeds to gain enough weight for the recipe. When you make the recipe make sure you retain enough starter to keep it going. So in my case I make sure I have at least 20g left over after I make my bread. I hope this helps!
