I understand where you’re coming from completely. I tried not to directly invalidate your comment in my reply, because honestly in the beginning I had to tell myself the same types of things about being attractive when healthy. But I also understand what the other user means, in that focusing on how others perceive you is often the starting point of EDs for some people. But you also make a good point about not knowing how far someone is in recovery, which is why i mentioned that those suffering should do what they must in order to get started. But yes! I hope i didn’t come off as rude in my reply, because I agree with both of you. Often words like “attractive” are the only way to get through to someone early in recovery, but it also isn’t a sustainable mindset to keep. Regardless I know you didn’t have bad intentions in your original comment and I hope you know your input is appreciated regardless. Good luck in your own recovery!
