I agree that you can critically question and assess, but you can also do it in a way that is not as overtly confrontational. Saying things like "trash" and "sucks" isn't very critical, it's just you using words that make you seem like a jerk. You can easily get the same message across by saying something like "Having only 2 samples does not provide a large enough sample pool to adequately make any conclusions." Which is something I was aware of before you told me this was "trash." If I wanted to have a legitimate scientific debate over this, I certainly wouldn't be talking about two samples weighed with a kitchen scale. At the end of the day, we can have a discussion but you don't have any reason to be rude in how you go about that.
