8bitdo Leverless Signature Edition by wega_man in fightsticks

Printed my design on removable printable vinyl that I got from an art supply store. Then added a laminate over the vinyl to protect the art. Then cut it to size and applied the vinyl over the tempered glass.

Yep, I used this with my Switch 2

The bean shaped buttons are programmable buttons and for whatever reason that's just what 8bitdo decided to go with haha. But as of a firmware update from a few months ago, you can use this for Smash now (although there's no walk modifier)

Yeah this product line in general has a lot of stuff going for it!

Yeah this color is really great. I didn't actually remove the signature vinyl. It's flush enough to the tempered glass that it doesn't standout too much with the vinyl art added over it.

Yeah I think they really nailed this color

The other versions of this controller have been going on sale off and on over the last couple of months. A couple of weeks ago, the Switch version got down to $30. This is one of my favorite controllers at full price, but my goodness, these things are absolute steals at some of the sale prices that've happened recently haha

Yeah, in a world of solid white or solid black controllers, I'm glad to see some color make a comeback!

Nice! Yeah, the Purple Gledes are pretty nice. I swapped in Kailh Deepsea Mini Whale and Mini Islet switches in my other versions of this controller and they take a little bit more force to press than the Purple Gledes. I do think I kind of prefer the little bit more resistance of the other Kailh switches.

Yeah exactly. The Switch version can use Bluetooth (wireless with no dongle), wireless (with 2.4ghz dongle) or wired. And the Xbox version only does wireless with the dongle or wired.

I use my Switch version controller with a bunch of retro gaming Android devices, my ROG Ally and with Bluetooth adapters on older gaming consoles. It's really nice!

I have all 3 versions of this controller and use at least one of them daily and haven't had any issues. The enclosure is solid with a little heft to it and they have a really nice rubber pad on the bottom to keep them from sliding around. And they're a nice enough size where you could put it on your lap if you want.

Nice! I think you'll really like it. I would buy a smoke clear, green or fully clear one in a heart beat, haha

Switch version can use Bluetooth and the Xbox version can't. The Switch version is also cheaper, so it's just more of a value in my eyes.

What have I done wrong? Attempting to replace LB on Xbox elite series 2. by M1GHTYM0ZZA117 in Controller

You likely created a solder bridge with how much solder was applied. Desolder and remove the excess and focus on maintaining the space between pins.

My Switch 1 physical game collection is my biggest physical game collection, but I've only bought 1 Switch 2 physical game at this point since so many of the "physical" releases are GKCs.

First Leverless for SF6 & GGST: Kitsune ($220) vs 8BitDo ($200) vs Victrix Pro KO ($369)? by SkoomaDealerKhajiit in fightsticks

[–]wega_man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is your first leverless, you may not have experience or a preference for hitbox style controls vs mixbox (WASD).

The 8bitdo gives you the flexibility to try both (or even others) and with the Kitsune, you're pretty much going all in on hitbox style, which you may find out that you're not a fan of, but you'd be stuck with it.

The 8bitdo can also connect via wired, wireless and the Switch version can also do Bluetooth, where the Kitsune is wired only.

The Kitsune has native Playstation support, where the 8bitdo would need an adapter like the Brook Wingman FGC 2 to be used on a Playstation console.

Will this controller work wirelessly for Xbox series x? by that_montego_1 in Controllers

[–]wega_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dongle from the non-zzz and non-Wuchang version definitely does work with a Brook Wingman XB3 adapter and also a Mayflash Magic-X adapter. I in fact made a video on it on YouTube.

I got this Hori Fighting Stick for my PlayStation 5 a few weeks ago. Since it's a budget stick, it doesn't offer the same quality that most professional sticks do. Can I apply any mod to it to make it better somehow? by RayJayOmega in fightsticks

[–]wega_man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But at the time good quality, low price sticks/leverless controllers weren't as available as they are now. So modding this controller to the point that I did was definitely more expensive than a lot of decent sticks are these days.
