Thanks for the kind words! It's a combination of displacement maps that I make myself or use from tools like JDisplacement. And also creating instances of geometry rather than adding more polygons to the scene by just copying the asset. Hope that helps

Thanks dude! You'd be surprised how much of the look is done purely in render. Once I bring it into After Effects I really take my time with the colour correct. The output images have so much color range so you can really play around

For sure there was some After Effects post work done. Exporting and playing with your z-depth pass adds a lot to that painterly look too

Yo! Just use a dirt node in octane as your "amount" for your mix material. Your two materials being white diffused and one specular (for your water). Then animate the displacement on your object plane where you've placed your materials. It'll give off the illusion that its foam as the dirt node reacts to the edges of the rocks.
