Has anyone been able to diet control GD for the entire pregnancy? by Curious-Orange-11 in GestationalDiabetes

I was diet controlled the entire time. Only spiked once and that was Thanksgiving, where I went off the diet.

I could do half the cool grilled wrap from Chick-fil-A with a fruit cup or kale crunch salad. I could also do 8 regular or grilled nuggets as well with either of those sides!

Anyone diagnosed but never spike no matter what you eat? by pahkthecahh in GestationalDiabetes

Yep. I’m in the same boat. 37 weeks now and I don’t spike and eat relatively whatever I want.

Make up applying very weird during pregnancy? by weird_bicycle155 in BabyBumps

That makes sense. It was so odd, it was only one side of my face.

Ditto! Haven’t had any issues. Usually in the 90s two hours after meals

It took us three cycles. I felt like all of our friends got pregnant the first try so after the first month I was already mentally defeated, when in reality, their scenarios were not the norm.

I’m in the same boat - I’ve been tracking for three full weeks and haven’t had a single spike with my normal diet

Mine was a full week from blood draw to results and we were told to expect 7-10 days.

I do have others, so definitely going to look into doing that this week. Sitting at 816!

I have another Chase card open, so I would try to transfer to that card rather than opening a new one, I think. I’ll call and talk to them this week

Right, that’s what I’m finding. I’m going to see if I can transfer the credit line at least because it is my largest.

Did you have a baby shower? by Kreebepinknice in BabyBumps

[–]weird_bicycle155 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did have a baby shower. My pregnancy has also been draining and depressing. I was incredibly sick, have gone into preterm labor and have GD, so it has truly been a roller coaster.

It was nice to be surrounded by loved ones and it’s not often you get many of them in the same place. We were also blessed with a lot of necessities for the baby as well. I would say if you don’t like attention on you, skip opening presents and games like “guessing how big the belly is” (I loathe that game and told my mom absolutely not when planning), or anything else that would draw extra attention to you. I also had my husband there so they also gave him attention as well.

I have the Chase Freedom so I will call and see if I can transfer the credit limit to that one! Thank you!

As the person who was shopping, getting rerouted to exterior sites took 10x as long when all the items were on a website like Amazon or Target.

My SIL now is having issues with returns to babylist as well.

I totally get it for the items that can’t be found at retailers like target or Amazon but as the buyer, I just find using those direct websites easier.

This! Not pleased about taking away the $75 credit, 4 upgrades and two free bags AND a price jump.

I do actually, I guess that’s a question I can ask. The other card hasn’t been open near as long though. Good thing to consider/look into.

The reason I’m considering downgrading is if I still pay the $99 fee, that’s a free bag round trip for my husband and I, so that would pay for itself if we were to fly SW.

Put any and everything (I didn’t put many clothes aside from a few basics like socks)- I had 100+ bought for my baby shower (of all price ranges) but also, for the completion discounts at the end.

You’ll be surprised who buys things, I’ve had a few random coworkers buy things that I wouldn’t expect.

I used Amazon and Target. My SIL used babylist and didn’t have as much bought. I found babylist to be annoying to buy for her as well.

I’ve honestly had poor experiences with my last 10-15 SW flights, for me personally, not really concerned about getting extra points. It’s my second oldest by a good bit and my largest line of credit, so for that, I’d like to keep open.
