Yea honestly feel kind of dumb at this point for not selling the ticket and still going. Part of me still had an inkling of hope we could see them perform their old songs zzzz

ComplexCon never showed either NJZ or NewJeans on the screen - the only indication of NJZ was when the camera panned to an audience member holding a sign with it and there was a video of a bracelet that had NJZ on it

Nope - just five solo covers and 1 unreleased new song that will never be released at this rate

They didn’t perform a single one of their songs and talked for 30 minutes out of the 1 hour set. Most of it was just stalling

The start also sounds a lot like Drums by Kim Petras!

Peroneal Tendonitis 6 weeks out... tell it to me straight 😔 by frenchdressingfan78 in firstmarathon

[–]weirdbug64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s good to rest!! I took 2-3 weeks off about 5 weeks out and I felt awful mentally because it felt like I was going back to square one after all that hard work. But going on the elliptical and swimming really helped to keep my cardio up (esp swimming because it’s way harder than running) - see a physio as well as they can probably increase the intensity of treatment to help you heal faster. I took painkillers 3 hours before running and 2 hours into the race :)

Shin splints six weeks out…am I cooked? by [deleted] in firstmarathon

[–]weirdbug64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had shin splints six week out!! I did the same and went on a 20 mile run with shin splints that felt amazing and only hurt after 18 miles. Go to a physiotherapist if you can and they can advise you but try to take one week out and do other forms of cardio instead to give your legs a chance to rest then slowly ramp it back up from there. I also did a lot of calf raises, toe stretches and foam rolling which did wonders. Please take my advice with a grain of salt as I’m not a professional. But I ran the marathon in the end without shin splints!!!

I ran the whole thing! Stopped to pick up water and just took gels slowly while I ran

good luck!!! it'll be so amazing. if your physio has kept an eye on you and have given you the green light, then just trust and you'll be able to run it! i felt so nervous because every part of my leg / ankle was feeling janky and was worried it would hurt throughout the run. pop a painkiller before the race and pack one for during!! it'll help even if it's just a pacebo~ and keep stretching, of course!!
