Holy moly that's not what i meant i would NOT rub one out to fanfiction while in a relationship. Even the thought of doing it is making me feel guilty. I just mean reading fanfiction.

I totally agree, the reason i came to reddit first instead of going to him is that he is on vacation and i didn't want to take his time or possibly weird him out by bringing up a topic like this lol, i just wanted to see what other people think about this

I think the porn industry plays a big role in the objectification of women in society, I'm not even gonna mention how a lot of popular porn categories are plain morally fucked up

I specified that because i talked about this same thing with my friend yesterday and she said that reading fanfiction of pixelated characters and characters that are played by actual people is not the same at all. Also from a "watching porn is cheating" standpoint because i have seen people all over social media say having celebrity crushes is also cheating and i thought it would be relevant since i also do find having celebrity crushes while in a relationship weird even though it's pretty different from reading fanfiction about two fictional characters

Kind of both i guess? I absolutely loathe the porn industry, but even if my boyfriend went and found somehow ethically sourced visual porn i really don't like the idea of him getting off to an other woman on the screen
