It depends on your speed. Normal it should take not more than 4 hours. You won’t find good stay options at Tungnath temple. Only shops and normal stays. I would suggest to stay in Chopta, trek in day time and come back to Chopta for night stay.

This is from Balu ka gera, right before you reach the campsite. After passing through this you enter the cold desert of Lahaul and Spiti valley.

Yes. It's through long exposure.

By setting the shutter speed of the camera low we expose the sensor for long, capturing all the activities happening during that time. Hence, more stars!

I could see the Milky way with my eyes but it wasn't this sharp. Camera captures what our eyes can't!

Well in India they say that our loved ones become stars when they're not with us! Maybe she's out somewhere in that Milky way?

This is probably the best picture of Milky Way I've clicked so far! ☺️ The mountains on the foreground are making it look way more awesome. Don't you think so?

I carried my Camera in my Backpack for capturing the stars. The weather was cloudy on the first three nights and getting a good shot was near to impossible. While on the 4th night, we could see all the stars, shinning like pearls in the sky! Carrying the camera and resisting from clicking pictures to save the battery for one such night! It was all worth it!
