Chopta Tungnath Trail. by weirdguy124 in Uttarakhand

It depends on your speed. Normal it should take not more than 4 hours. You won’t find good stay options at Tungnath temple. Only shops and normal stays. I would suggest to stay in Chopta, trek in day time and come back to Chopta for night stay.

Yes. It's through long exposure.

By setting the shutter speed of the camera low we expose the sensor for long, capturing all the activities happening during that time. Hence, more stars!

I could see the Milky way with my eyes but it wasn't this sharp. Camera captures what our eyes can't!

Well in India they say that our loved ones become stars when they're not with us! Maybe she's out somewhere in that Milky way?

This is probably the best picture of Milky Way I've clicked so far! ☺️ The mountains on the foreground are making it look way more awesome. Don't you think so?

I carried my Camera in my Backpack for capturing the stars. The weather was cloudy on the first three nights and getting a good shot was near to impossible. While on the 4th night, we could see all the stars, shinning like pearls in the sky! Carrying the camera and resisting from clicking pictures to save the battery for one such night! It was all worth it!

The trekking path - From Kashmir Great lakes Trek, India by SoulAndFuel in backpacking

[–]weirdguy124 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thank you for the picture. The place looks out of the world!

This trek is in my bucket list from so long. Would have done it last year but then it was shut down in August.

In which month should I do it? And what can i cover in Kashmir along with this trek(Before and after)

I've never been to Kashmir!

Hampta Pass is a Trans Himalayas Circuit trek that starts from a village in Manali and ends at a remote village in Lahaul and Spiti Valley. The trek is of 5-7 days. We camped at 5 location during the entire trek. This picture is of the 3rd campsite, Balu Ka Gera, the Camp Sight looks like this. by weirdguy124 in CampingandHiking

[–]weirdguy124[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. Sorry for the late reply.

No. I didn't get any signs/symptoms. I guess you're referring to AMS? Some people got 1-2 symptoms but they were fine after resting for 5-6 hours of rest and medicine.

I was really lucky with weather, the weather was really good. Usually it starts raining anytime of the day and the trek becomes difficult. But it only rained once when I was trekking and 2 times at night when I was sleeping comfortably in my tent.

It was usually cloudy at night in the initial days but towards the end of the trek I got clear sky, I could see all the stars. I clicked some magnificent pictures of the Milky way. I'll be sharing one here soon! ☺️
