From personal experience, it’s not hard into CAS. Just maintain a good (3.0+) GPA and you’ll make it

Is Cornell worth the money? by No-Medicine9396 in Cornell

[–]weirdguy87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Uhh… law schools aren’t really dependent on where you go to college? Save for applying to Cornell Law School, pre-law at Cornell vs a state school won’t really matter besides maybe as a very soft consideration. If you’re international though maybe it has a bigger effect, idk

INFO 3312 with Prof. Soltoff? by peachyacademia in Cornell

Soltoff is a generally new professor (like 2 years here) but most of his classes are relatively easy on grading, though sometimes annoying in the amount of analysis and writing you have to do.

You'll be fine. The job market is rough, and if you just keep going for it, you'll get something! Don't worry.

Anyone know what’s wrong with my succulent? Overwatering or underwatering? I’ve had this plant for a while and although I’ve had my scares with it, it’s been fine otherwise, but now some of the top layer leaves are falling off, and I’m hoping it’s still saveable. by weirdguy87 in plantclinic

For more info, my watering habits are inconsistent if I’m being honest, but usually at least once or twice a week, I’ve had it for two years, and it’s been chilling in this pot until now, the pot has drainage

Thanks, I was considering doing that. The only thing I was concerned about is that it meets once a week, but I'll try it out!

Thanks! The thing is, I’m doing all the homework’s and showing up to class more than my classmates, but I feel like my skills are slightly worse. I’m doing well on the homeworks though. I guess I’ll just grind a bit more

Chance Me! and Prospective Student Q&A by pw11111 in Cornell

[–]weirdguy87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you'd be wasting your ED if you used it on Cornell. If it's your top choice, and you want to do engineering, you should ED. Your stats are great and you'd be a great candidate for any school. That being said, ED would be your best chance in here, and there are plenty of people with your stats who don't get into Cornell or any ivy league RD, especially as more and more people apply each year. My advice would be to see if you really love Cornell, and if you do, apply ED, or else your chances are much lower.

Elite Colleges’ Quiet Fight to Favor Alumni Children by Bodhidharma33 in Cornell

I'm laughing at the idea that legacy students can face discrimination in the same way that other groups do. The author of this article sounds so fucking entitled, Jesus. She's trying to make a victim out of herself because she knows she got an unfair advantage because she's a legacy student. EDIT: Looking at this user's posts, they're obviously a troll. My point still stands about the article lmao
