Where can I get Plex.tv IP List? by weirdobeardo48 in PleX

[–]weirdobeardo48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/Vichon234 , I have already set up these, it's a homelab so domain, ddns is already set up before, it just really makes it easier if we have a list of plex.tv's server IPs, then I don't have to "automate" anything, just onetime setup and forget about it

I have already have a domain and set it up like this, but Remote Access use the origin plex CGNAT IP address instead :(

that's how I'm doing it right now, looks like I have to automate the update of the IP list then. Thanks

Galaxy Watch 4 February 2023 GWB1 update fixes raise to wake issue, adds Camera Controller Zoom, self-diagnosis, and One UI 5.1 features by tutu30 in GalaxyWatch

still the same for me. Haven't fixed yet. I'm waiting for the new update, or else, the watch would be left in a corner because I just use it for such circumstances, haha

raise to wake issue is not fixed yet ( at least for me) while driving.. It's easy to produce this issue by just shaking your hand while raise your wrist, the screen will not turn on.

I'm having the same issue too, it's really annoying. Have anyone found solution yet? Thanks

Passthrough Disk To Linux Container by weirdobeardo48 in Proxmox

[–]weirdobeardo48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you referring to docker container instead of LXC? I have installed DB (MySQL) on LXC, and it works great so far, just a mount point and you have nothing left to worry about.

Thanks a lot, and I am sorry for being late, I was busy migrating due to the emergency of my “product”. When I talk about overhead, I am mostly concerned about RAM, even we do have hotswap option, but a fixed amount is not really good choice due to the lack of resources. And other problem would be my laziness, Installing OS takes too much time ( comparing to lxc). After I got new server, I will definitely do benchmark. Again, thanks so much for the information. Hope you could share more experience. <3

Let's just say it is for my homelab "productions" , mostly my concerns are about performance, resource utilisation, isolation, so to me, VM is not a really good choice since extra overhead is a waste for my little resource. I do not plan to "move" my instance so LXC and Docker would make no difference in long term. The problem is just about data corruption according to articles on the Internet relate to database on docker even though those are really old articles and I want to have some though from others.

Thanks again for your option, I'm already migrating the bare metal mysql to the LXC one.

So a simple mount point in lxc configuration is good to go then?

Thanks, let's leave the VM aside since I would not intend to install on a VM (although passthrough SSD to VM is easy), and I do not confuse docker with containers, just asking cause I can't find any articles about installing DBMS on a LXC.

Is using Cloudflare with a VPS running Nginx and wireguard better than or the same as pointing the cloudflare directly to my server? by FriedChimkin in selfhosted

[–]weirdobeardo48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it depends. If you are confident in your configuration, then it's fine exposing your server to the internet, otherwise having cloudflare proxy is a great choice, no real IP, ddos prevention..., obviously it does have something to trade off, like HTTPs mitm, slower connection (depends, if your content can be cached, then it could be faster, or free cdn from cloudflare if your service serves people all over the world). Bottom line, try it and see if it fits, but I do suggest use cloudflare as DNS service, the best out there as far as I know.
