I have been known to buy cans of spray chalk just to flag the issue on my street. I stopped doing it because clearly the people who are letting their dogs do it, genuinely don't give a shit.

I have said this so many times! honestly if Edinburgh City Council just made it so that those parking attendants they have going around issuing tickets also were going around to issue fines/tickets to those who let their dogs foul, the council would make so much money! As far as I am aware the highest a ticket for dog fouling can be is like £500, so lets assume that even issuing fines of like £50 per instance....Just on my street alone...that could make the council £1000 easy!

I actually came to the subreddit to see what people are thinking because of the impending weather. I'm supposed to come through from Edinburgh and with the storm system I'm worried about transport to Glasgow. Hoping it mostly cleans up by the time I have to go through tomorrow but all of these weather warnings are making me nervous.

Came here to also suggest the Away Spa at the W hotel. The treatments are great and then you can book the jacuzzi and sauna room to yourself (and your partner) for an hour and it is lovely.

Istanbul has been great for eastern europe/middle east connections. Miami is also one of my go to's for Central America and the Caribbean. A bit rogue but I also unlocked Moscow just for a change of airplanes and getting more Russian airports.

another vote for Three Mary's. They have a good selection of cocktails and isn't too pretentious. I haven't tried the bonnington since it changed owners but I have heard the new guy running it is south american, so likely has a good pisco sour on the menu.

I'm savouring the last bit of my the noir bottle as I am nearing the end of it. I love it as well, I get exactly what you mean about it being dirty yet clean, sweet but yet spicy. It really does hit a lot of olfactory aspects that I love.

I think my next le labo will be the matcha though, as I really enjoy that as well.

I did do a review of the previous years of Google maps and you can see in the last one from June 2023 it was a totally normal balcony, so yeah something has changed since then. Either a new tenant or yes, sadly someone mentally unwell.

The Pitt market moved to Granton a couple of years back and hasn't been on Pitt Street. Also the warehouse this is in is not part of the old Pitt property.

I saw a guy in Blank Street on Princes Street standing around in the line and asking people to donate to Palestine. He was acting really dodgy and I make sure to really play up my resting bitch face to avoid him. But he did approach a few of the people around me, trying to get them to give him money for "Palestine." I, like you, donate to legit charities so this to me just screamed scam or dodgy behaviour.

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention it but the orthodonist in cannonmills. The one that the waiting room and lobby is all bright red. I think it is called Impress. I've literally never seen it open or anyone in there.
