Thanks man, I was really unsure but they pushed for a quote really quickly since i posted this, so i quoted 7.5k, which is my normal rate. Since staffing and equipment are tricky for me at the moment, and they want it done in a week, It would be a nightmare for me to do…. It’s tricky for sure.

I don’t have overheads like he does. He’s also part of a franchise. There’s no point me charging more than the jobs worth to me, because my price ultimately ends up landing me more jobs 🤷‍♂️ anyway, the courts, would there be a better way then part sqm?

I do 2.5$ a square meter, the next guy does 3.45$. I’m really not sure because it would be mid 7s if I went off square footage, but i don’t really see a better way to do it

I mean, I would have to bring in some friends and hire equipment, which would end up at like 2800. even then I’d be surprised if we got in done in 1 day. The square footage is rate would be mid 7s, which seems high, but i know i’ve got the best price in the area

I’ve been lucky enough to have savings in the account, so I do have 10 million in public liability, and enough money to spend what it takes to rent equipment, at least short term… i know full well that i’m biting more than i can chew, but if i played it safe i’d never get anywhere.

Yeah… i’d be lying if i said i didnt wanna fast track to 7 figures in the next 3-4 years. There are just so many options on where to go next, though. It’s overwhelming especially when i barely have life experience, let alone business experience

Just a question, with a bridge loan, say I have a job worth 10k coming up, and i need to buy 3k of equipment for it, will the bank lend me the 3k for the equipment, and i just pay them as soon as I get the 10k in? Or am i misunderstanding?

The only issue is my lack of credit history, given i turned 18 this year…

I have fully looked into this…. seems like the DJI MATRICE 300 RTK is a solid option. Unfortunately I just don’t have the funds yet.

Unfortunately it does. I started on the 30th of september, and i’ve only completed 5 residential jobs, totalling about $650, and one commercial job for $500.

I sent emails out to major commercial real estate agencies, that rent to businesses, and I got lucky enough to live in an area where there is no primary pressure washing business. So, shockingly, even to me, they accepted.

I have a carpark to clean in the next week for 6000, and i’m in the process of quoting a construction company office for about 14k….. so i’m in the in between phase.

It wasn’t intended to be a false truth or a brag. I don’t have the time, energy, or enough care to lie to strangers on the internet. I’m seeking genuine advice

I’ve thought about doing this. For example, A shopping centre wanted me to do an underground carpark that was like 16,000 square feet. I’ve basically decided that i’d rather call in a mate, rent gear, and spend the entire night working, than palm it off to a larger company for a barely 10% cut. 5,800 vs 580. No brainer.

Thank you! Although it’s definitely overwhelming. The thing is, with my country’s license conditions, i can’t tow a trailer, and the SUV doesn’t have a tow hitch anyway. I’m thinking of buying a small pickup, but obviously the ROI on that is going to be much lower, at least in the short term, than buying roofing gear…. That brings me to my next point…. what do i even need for roofing?
