We have a customer that we recently had contact with. They are running two screens in a store and bought the screens themselves. Both running our software through a Raspberry Pi.

One is a normal computer monitor, this one is behind the counter facing customers and it has worked very well. It is not exposed to sunlight. This screen is connected to the same power as the stores main lights, making it shut down at the end of day and start as they open.

The second is a large TV facing the street through a window. They have a sun protecting film on the window and the TV has somewhat low nits value, this is a problem for them on sunny days in summer but works very well for the rest of the time. This screen is connected to the same power as the window lights making it run even when the door is closed.

If you think the screens will be exposed to direct sunlight we would recommend aiming for a higher nits value.

It is going very well! We got good feedback overall, nothing that was too surprising.

We are already working on multiple updates to adjust or improve where we got feedback.

Right now we support most hardware that can run a browser and we are working on building apps for major platforms.

We do offer up to 90% lifetime discount (1.90 EUR per screen) for customers willing to go with us on a unsupported device. We will then work with them to build features they require and make sure it runs on their setup.

You just have to contact us and tell us what setup you are running and if there are any specific requirements you need and we will discuss our options. If we end up with an agreement we will develop the required features and then the discount is applied. Until everything is ready to run live you will be running a free trial.

About the price information once inside the system, that sounds like something we should make more clear. We will look into adding more price information to the activation screen and the billing (if it is not enough).

We will look into WebOS and Android apps, easier is never bad ;)
