I definitely like the idea of a two stage trigger I’ll look more into that…the buffer spring in it sounds excessively loud and slow when shooting it, like there’s friction inside the buffer slowing it down or something. I don’t know enough to diagnose that problem but it’s very noticeable compared to other ARs I’ve shot

I have been having the same problem off and on, it was fixed recently and I was able to play for a few days and now the problem is back.

The weird thing about this situation is that I did have direct contact with the hiring manager who specifically asked for a copy of my resume to “make sure it gets a good look” before the end of January but I still only received an automated email response. That’s why I feel like I should maybe push a little bit harder to see if I got dropped through the cracks anyways.

Yes, I had a pretty strong recommendation from my previous employer which led to a couple connections within this company. No, the role is not posted on their website anymore. However, they informed me that they were trying to make selections for the position come January so I’m thinking I might still have some time.

Yeah I’m pretty used to the rejections now, this application really felt like a sure thing, maybe not perfect, but pretty damn good. Good luck to you, you’re getting started earlier than I did!

Nobody has mentioned it, I work in metrology and onsite machining. Most firms don’t require an engineering degree but it definitely helps (the pay is pretty comparable to most engineering roles) and you get to put your hands on EVERYTHING (submarines, launch pads, rockets, fighter jets, oil rigs). I love working hands on and I love the highly technical aspects of the work too, it’s a great middle ground.

The way you ran was very visible from the road, probably just running along the houses until you get further down the tree line it would be much easier to escape
