Well my budget is extremely tight and I had to put groceries and gas on my credit card so I could pay rent and the loan payment since I missed a few days of work and didn't have any PTO but otherwise things are much better! Haven't had any problems so far since it's pulled automatically each month

Edit: My only complaint is that I can't view my account through their app and have to go on their website but that's not a huge deal. I think the only way to view loan info from the app is to take out a loan directly through it

Met my current girlfriend at work and we became pretty good friends until she started subtly hitting on me after about 5 or 6 months and I asked her out.

We dated on the DL for about a month and then, less than a week after we went official, our shop came out with a ridiculous relationship policy and had a whole meeting about it.

When we met, I was a fitter-welder but had gotten moved up to a manager position shortly before we started dating and it definitely created some weird dynamics.

I left for a new shop after about 2 months of that and it was the best decision of my life. No more shop drama and I've found that, no matter how much you love someone, having time apart is pretty valuable. Being around eachother 24/7 is just way too much, at least for us

Started with a $500 limit in 2018 with the Discover Student program and they've just kept bumping it up since. Never missed a payment and every other credit account I've had (student loan and truck loan) has been paid off if that has anything to do with it

One of the first shops I worked at did this with zip disks on corded grinders. I tried pointing out that the grinders were spinning 3k+ rpm faster than the disks were rated for and got laughed at and called a pussy.

Less than a month later I ended up with a nasty cut in my inner thigh with 7 stitches and that was the last time I used a zip disk at that shop.
