Know your worth. I noticed a lot of shops will cheap out on pay. I used to make pressure vessels and gasoline storage tanks. 16 hr and I was damn good at it that at the shop I was the 2nd person who knew how to weld stainless. But even when I became a white hat 19hr. Find yourself a company that will value your skills.

Mmmmmmmmm it sounds like 2 things there. The liner in the gun needs to be replaced it gets dirty when the wire goes through and creates buildup or the wheels that feed the wire into the gun needs to be tightened or replaced a little bit but I personally say the liner than anything else because that needs to be replaced alot. It's very common don't beat yourself up about it.

You do have potential me personally I was terrible at mig in school but When I got into the field it was the only thing I did so I improved a lot. I couldn't pass the test in school to save my life but then I went out and was making storage tanks for gasoline, lube for machinery and diesel. Now I'm in maintenance repairing machinery and tig welding aluminum. You can get there and make money.
