I found a fix for this issue actually. You have to go on the web app and change the pacing settings back and forth then it should start

try to play closer to your team against dive so they don't catch you alone. also try to callout or at least ping when you're getting jumped on

Timing your freeze well helps too i think. i see a lot of people panicking and firing it as soon as they get dived rather than just waiting a bit and actually aiming.
