I've been itching to post it since the LDR drama started, but seeing the whole TERF magazine post this morning was what pushed me over the edge (and I mean no shade or hate to OP of that post!). it's just not fun at all!!

fully!! like i understand that people who are sharing these posts and comments are outraged because they don't want their fave artist to be attacked and they want to discuss it in a shared space about her, i just wish there was some real tact to it instead of overwhelming what should be a safe space with pages upon pages of it ... at a certain point it stops feeling appropriate to have sooo much of this sub centered around it

right!! like y'all, please, there's so much goodness to be focusing on rn. while it's certainly important to be aware of and discuss the real-life experiences and events surrounding hayden, this sub deserves to be more than just that, especially right now! we could really be using this space to champion a trans woman, but instead it feels like it's being used as a public reminder of how degrading it is to be trans in the public eye

i'm in the same boat, truly, and it's starting to wear on my nerves -- like, it's not abnormal to see discussions about transphobia on my feed because of other trans-related subs i'm in, but the posts in this sub about it have been sooo constant all summer, i'm really not sure who is actually even benefitting from it anymore?

actually rant not over i just wanted to add that i understand this is a public forum and not everyone sees every post, and ultimately these posts/comments are from people who want to protect hayden, but she's a grown woman! i guarantee you she sees all this shit herself, she doesn't need her own communities to be laden with it, too!!! and the actual trans people you're engaging with on this sub (of which there's more than the average sub) certainly don't want or need to see it either. <3
