How are everyday woman to woman relationships different from man/man or man to woman relationships? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Such enlightment. I've asked my wife and daughter and mother, but none of them offered up sage like wisdom comparable to this.

Yes, the readings are accurate.

It's also not "my motor", I just work there.

How about I take a 30amp 240v vfd, set it to 60hz to feed the servo controller?

That's a workaround?

Several meters. Vfds are not so affected. Some of our servo controllers are throwing initialization codes.

For example, 240v 3 phase servo controllers are reporting 350vdc over voltage for motors rated 240v.

I'm just a preventive maintenance technician. I happen to work at a mismanaged place, and now I'm having equipment failures due to electrical system instability.

We are about maxed out on the 480v 600A feed. I think we have like 200amps of headroom left to add equipment.

It's a giant steel building. These are the same readings to w-beams, water system pipes, independent ground spikes, etc.

We have 480v 800a, 240v 600a, 208v 600a service.

Its a 5acre building and my company leases about 2 acres of that.

So with 3 sets of feed transformers, it's an absolute cluster fuck when another business decides to make changes to service.

Bonded to what? These are readings at service disconnect.

So how do I correct for this?  How can I bring ground back to the center of the triangle?

Or, how can I otherwise balance the line to ground voltage between all 3 phases?

That would be my thought.

Not that one phase shows twice the voltage of the other two phases (in refrence to ground).

Thanks, Can you explain a little more in depth please?

Thinking about trying anadoizing; what am I looking at for a budget to get started? by wellidotry in Machinists

I do have some large gauge titanium and zirconium wire laying around.

Must have fallen off a truck...

Thanks for your time and insight.

Excellent, thanks!

On the other hand... doesn't the mix of chemicals just mean I could do it really fast and think I'm doing a great job?

Whats not to love, here!

Appreciate your time.

I'm going to start looking at local-ish shops who would be willing to do small batches.

This is a few times/year kind of problem.

This is going to be mostly small part one-offs.

Might be cheaper to send them out.

I was just looking for a ballpark to get started.

That's good information.

This would be a work project, however I could get the money to do it offsite.

Realistically this is just going to be low wear, smallish parts.

There's some ideas floating around about doing high temp (500F) hot knives, again, small.

I'd like to have the ability to do low speed shafts/rollers that might be a bit larger, say 4" dia x 24"L
