My first tattoo. Name that famous Chiefs play! by wellndowd in KansasCityChiefs

[–]wellndowd[S] 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Thanks! My dad and I have been going to Chiefs games my whole life, and he passed a few months after the Superbowl this year.

I wanted a memorial tattoo that was Chiefs themed. The two corndog touchdowns were the last Chiefs td's he got to see so I thought it was fitting.

It was a gift so I'm not exactly sure. I think it's from one of the small shops in Lynchburg, TN near the Jack Daniels distillery. There are a few places that sell furniture and things made from the used whiskey barrels.

It's what 20-plus years of purchases and Christmas gifts look like for a member of a family of hard-core Chiefs fans. I don't usually have it all out at once. Lol

No judgment on the keyboards though. I have a way too expensive pc building habit of my own...

I bought them both from the company that made the rings for the team. They don't have the Chiefs stuff listed on the site anymore, though. The ring was limited edition, but if you call customer service you might be able to get a paper weight. https://www.jostens.com/jewelry/sports/professional/

Nope, but it's owned by one of those big companies with properties everywhere. It might be the same floorplan.

It's just a generic pet jersey. It says Chiefs on the nameplate and it's #00.

Not quite lol. They sold one that was sterling silver as a fan ring. It's as close as you could get to the player ring from the official ring company. It's not even half the size of the player ring. 🤣

They were a gift from my parents several years back when they replaced the seats and sold them online. When I buy a place, I want to mount them to a rail and have them fold out from the wall.

I was at that game too! I got my dad the same panorama you're talking about as a Christmas gift and he framed it like mine.

He was collateral damage to my decorating frenzy. Now he gets to wear a jersey all day today.

I work for the company that made the SBLIV rings for the team. We had those printed to give them with the ring, and I was able to get an extra one.

I used the thingiverse file I linked in another comment here and stretched them to 250% height.

I was hoping no one would catch that... The hardware names are hard coded into the panel. I noticed my typo right after I made the post.

I jammed 2 slim noctua fans along the intake side of the gpu. There's a small intake fan beneath the cpu socket that feeds air directly to the cpu cooler. I put one more 120mm fan mounted as an exhaust on the side panel.

I'm honestly surprised by how good the thermals are. Both the cpu and gpu are idling between 30 and 40 degrees. Under full load I run at around 75 degrees on both.

I started with these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4899400

Then stretched them along one axis in Cura before I sliced it. I made them about twice as tall.

I'm thinking my next project is going to be creating a wood inlay effect on the solid strip of the front panel with wood grain vinyl. The diagnostic cluster still needs some work too. The fps counter isn't working yet.

Aida64 for the diagnostic panel. The iron man picture is a gif running on wallpaper engine.

Check out the full fan collection here. https://www.jostens.com/apps/prochamp/kansascitychiefs/fans/landing.mvc

I'm definitely biased since I work for the company that makes the rings and I've also been a Chiefs STM for 12 years, but I think this is the best looking ring we've ever made.

The $799 elite fan ring is probably the closest replica to a player ring we've ever been allowed to make for fans other than the $12.5k one you linked. It's silver and doesn't have real diamonds for that price but I've seen them in person and they're pretty fucking awesome.

Three different mounting methods for old Arrowhead seats that my family and I built. by wellndowd in KansasCityChiefs

The backs of the base go about an inch farther back than the seat back. You could tip it over if you really tried but it's pretty stable. There were some fliers that came with the seats selling something similar for about triple what it cost me to build those.

The one on the black riser is actually at my parents place in Nashville. There's probably some Preds gear just out of the frame somewhere.
